RIDER Method™ 2 The Skippy Summer

As we drew closer to the natural world through our spiritual awareness, we created our own vortex of healing energy.

And from the garden, I brought together parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme, a little nod to the beautiful Scarborough Fair made famous by Simon & Garfunkel in 1966.

This summer has been particularly special to me. I’ve come to think of it as my Skippy Summer.

It has been a season of spending time with my animals, working with the plants and essences around me, and growing into an even deeper appreciation for the beauty of the natural world and for everyone and everything within it.

Sometimes healing is also about becoming quiet enough to notice what has been surrounding us all along: the herbs growing in the garden, the animals beside us, the changing seasons, and the gift of simply being here.

Every day is a gift. Stepping into a new world.

The Rider Method Journey… Right in Our Own Backyard

As we come to the end of our Rider Method journey, I find myself right here, in my own backyard.

Under this beautiful flowering tree. Practicing yoga. Breathing. Watching the birds. Tending the herbs. Sharing the space with Frankie. Simply noticing the life that is happening all around me.

This beautiful tree belongs to my neighbor, but its branches reach over the fence and create shade and beauty in our yard. Its tiny golden flowers fall everywhere, even on my car and into Frankie’s little pool.

I asked ChatGPT to help me identify it, and it appears to be a golden rain tree. And I thought, how perfect.

Nature isn’t always neat and manicured. It drops leaves and flowers. It crosses property lines. It grows wild. It asks us to live alongside it rather than control every inch of it.

Love thy neighbor as thyself.

For me, that includes our relationship with the natural world and with all the creatures who share it with us.

My hope for everyone who has followed along on this Rider Method journey is that you’ve come away with an even deeper appreciation for nature, animals, and the sacred relationships available to us when we slow down enough to notice them.

You don’t have to go far to begin.

Sometimes the lesson is waiting right in your own backyard.

🌿 Completing Our RIDER Method Summer Journey 🌿

As we complete this year’s RIDER Method™ program, another beautiful layer of the work has revealed itself: inner child healing.

The RIDER Method began as a way to explore healing through nature, horses, energy, intuition, and hands-on connection. This summer, we discovered that the journey is not only about learning new techniques. It is also about remembering the joyful, creative, and curious parts of ourselves that may have been waiting quietly to be invited back into the light.

Some colleagues in massage therapy or equine bodywork may consider my hands-on approach and energy work old-fashioned. I see it differently.

I am refining and deepening the knowledge I have gathered throughout more than 35 years of professional practice, beginning in 1990. Experience teaches us which traditions deserve to be carried forward, which practices are ready to evolve, and how intuition and careful observation can work alongside continuing education.

The RIDER Method™ brings these elements together:

R – Rebalance
I – Investigate
D – Detect
E – Energize
R – Release

And sometimes, what we are ready to release is the belief that healing must always be serious or difficult.

Healing can also be dancing.

Healing can be singing.

Healing can be listening to a fairy tale, walking beside a horse, gathering stones, noticing the music an animal enjoys, or allowing the inner child to feel safe enough to play again.

As we bring this summer’s program to a close, we release our inner child to move freely, express joy, and feel gratitude for this beautiful season and the life unfolding around us.

Each day offers another opportunity to notice wonder, receive wisdom from nature, and remember how joyful it truly is to be alive.

🐴 Nature Healing with Horses | RIDER Journey Wrap-Up 🐴🌿

As our summer RIDER Journey comes to a close, we celebrate each step:

🌼 Rebalance
🔍 Investigate
🧭 Detect
✨ Energize
🕊️ Release

This season, we explored how nature, horses, movement, energy awareness, and my handcrafted First State Diamond Essences™ Radiance Mist can become part of a personal wellness routine. My hope is that these experiences inspire you to pause, reconnect with yourself, and find moments of balance, even when life feels chaotic.

As you reflect on this summer, ask yourself:

✨ What gift did the RIDER Journey bring you?

For me, the greatest gift has been the birth of my family of four foundational Radiance Mists:

🤍 Magnolia – Divine Grace
💛 Forsythia – From Darkness into Light
🧡 Tiger Lily – Abundance & Supply
💜 Thyme – Time & Money Freedom

Creating these mists has been one of the highlights of my journey, and I’m grateful to share them with you.

May your summer continue with peace, purpose, and a renewed connection to nature.

Thank you for riding with us this season.

Until next summer… Tally Ho! 🌿🐎

First State Diamond Essences

Today I had the joy of introducing two of my favorite Radiance Sprays to clients: Tiger Lily and Thyme.

I often think about how many of us struggle with the balance between time and money. Sometimes we have plenty of time but limited resources. Other times we’re working constantly, earning a living, yet have little time left to truly enjoy life.

Tiger Lily and Thyme are two essences I enjoy pairing together as a reminder to seek greater harmony between those two parts of life.

Each Radiance Spray begins in my Delaware garden. I harvest each Tiger Lily blossom just as it opens, then preserve its energetic imprint using my handcrafted First State Diamond Essences. The sprays are blended with purified water and organic witch hazel and are intended to create a beautiful ritual of intention and well-being for your personal space and daily practice.

Every bottle is handcrafted in Delaware with gratitude, care, and purpose.

Available at select Delaware locations.

Message me, and I’ll be happy to let you know where you can find them.

“May your days be rich in both purpose and the time to enjoy it.”

🌻 An Unexpected Sunflower at Tacker Barn

Today I arrived at Tacker Barn and discovered a single sunflower growing beside the steps. I couldn’t help but smile. It looked as though a bird had planted the seed there.

Tacker Barn is named after my great-uncle, who dairy farmed there for 25 years. That made this little surprise feel even more special.

In flower folklore, the sunflower is often associated with healing the father-daughter bond. That made me pause and think about my dad. My heart is at peace. On my end, that bond is filled with gratitude and love.

Sometimes nature has a beautiful way of reminding us that healing continues to bloom in unexpected places.

🌻 Today, at Tacker Barn, one little sunflower brightened my day.

Healing isn’t always found in perfect places. Sometimes the brightest light grows from weathered foundations.
