There is an intelligence your spiritual wound wants you to access.

The impact of desirability politics is not just emotional and physical, it's spiritual.

This is the disconnection q***r Black women and non-binary folks have been navigating with largely unsupported.

This is the reason Mx. Queen, LCSW, M.Ed created Healing the Erotic Self.

Caring for our spiritual wounds is not affirmingly accessed through sacred s*xuality alone because sacred s*xuality as we know it is colonized.

The Womanism Way of knowing, believing, and becoming requires not just emotional and somatic intelligence but EMBODIED INTELLIGENCE.

What's been missing is our understanding that what makes our s*xuality sacred is the ancestral reclamation of the erotic, not the Western understanding and packaging of the erotic as something only s*xual.

It is the culmination and integration of our emotions, our thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and expression related to several attributes our humanity included our gender, who we are romantically, s*xually, and platonically attracted to, our relationship to pleasure, pain, and power and how we live in our body.

Using the Erotic Self as a decolonial bio-psycho-social, we reclaim our erotic healing narrative and erotic embodiment by empowering our Erotic Self through the decolonial reclamation of our erotic intelligence.

Have you ever felt the words stuck in your throat right when you needed them most?

You know what you want. You can feel it in your body. But asking for it? That's a whole other thing.

Here is what I shared in the my latest newsletter, Embodied LIberation:

To heal and not just recover from exhaustion and burnout, there were 3 resources needed to reclaim, not to labor, but to reclaim not only your much-neglected desires but the capacity to admit that they are there, let alone ask for what you desire.

Those resources were your time, your capacity, and your energy.

Time is not only seconds, minutes, hours, days, and months. Time is pacing, intention, and presence. Capacity is your mental and emotional space needed to connect to my (at the time) very neglected desires. Energy is the electrical impulses my nervous system generates and responds to in response to both internal and external pressures.

With the erotic as the GPS to my embodied liberation, these resources move me into my WHOLENESS from a place of dissociation and disconnection to the erotically empowered connection to my Self, my desires, and my power. These resources reclaimed my center and my embodiment from knowing->believing->becoming- the Womanism Way.

When I came back from my season of sxual shadow work the Dominican Republic, I knew all of the lessons I had learned, now had to be applied. I had to come back to clean up the mess my life became.

For me, the erotic is not solely sxual work, it is spiritual work- liberation work.

And I mean that ohhhh sooo sincerely.

With the erotic, I learned and experience there is more.

Here is some of what that means:

1. More is using the erotic to honor the complexities of multiple pulls from the multiple roles I was in without self-sacrificing.

2.More is not leaning into anxious-avoidant decision-making and behavior because I have hard* choices to make. Learning to use the erotic as the GPS to my quality of life and allows me to be more accountable with compassion for myself.

3. More is nervous system training for nervous system regulation. It's reclaiming my erotic energy. I have taken the last 5 years learning how erotic healing happens in the body and for our wholeness. I am my practices. You are yours...

4. More is unlearning automatic negative thinking to regulate myself and creating a thriving mindset for abundance.

5. More is like me believing in what I know and becoming what EYE desire...

With this life you have where you know how to hold space for others but you are still playing about how you hold space for yourself...

3 myths about erotic healing I want you to consider (and what's actually true):

MYTH 1: "Erotic healing is just about s*x."

TRUTH: The erotic is the energy of desirability, sxually and non-sxually. When you decenter colonial understanding of the erotic, you realize there is MORE to erotic healing. It's about reclaiming your capacity for pleasure, presence, and power in your body. It's spiritual. It's somatic. It's intuitive. It's revolutionary.

MYTH 2: "I have to be 'fixed' before I can do this work."

TRUTH: You show up as you are. The container holds you. Trauma-informed means we meet you where you are. The erotic is our GPS.

MYTH 3: "This isn't clinical enough for my credentials."

TRUTH: This disconnected because you are trained to default to a s*x-negative understanding of the erotic. Too many helping professionals DO NOT understand how to integrate the erotic in their practices, personally and professionally. And this intensive offers 18 AASECT CE units. Decolonial framework. Liberation-centered. Trauma-informed. This IS clinical—it's just also embodied.
