Tender Hearts, founded by Ms. Debria Doherty of Doherty & Associates, was formed as a way to help children and their families receive better medical care, and improve their quality of life. The organization’s mission is to donate to different organizations that support children with diverse needs in order to create a better quality of life.
“Helping to keep families together, especially when chi
ldren are hospitalized, has always been a top priority in my personal life,” says Doherty. “As I’ve learned through my own experience with the hospitalization of close family members and as myself as a child, these types of events can be devastating for families and the wellness of the child.” “Having family by their side increases the well-being and welfare of the child and enables faster recovery”. Over the last 14 years, Doherty & Associates has given back by supporting children’s charitable organizations. Most recently, in 2014, Doherty & Associates was a proud sponsor of the March of Dimes Dancing for Babies program; furthermore, in 2013, the company raised $35,600 in donations, which went to help provide affordable lodging at the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.
