Sometimes, it’s the little things in life that mean the most, like being able to sit on your own porch and enjoy some fresh air! 🌞

Yesterday, we built a ramp for a client who uses a walker and wanted to regain access to her porch. We were happy to roll up our sleeves and build a ramp to help make that happen!

At Access Independence, it’s about more than building ramps. It’s about removing barriers, restoring independence, and helping people enjoy the simple things that make life special. 💙 🤝 Mover Dudes Inc.

Terri says: I am enjoying retirement. I am married with two children, Evan 32 and Hannah 28. They are amazing. I like to craft, read and listen to music. I volunteer two afternoons a week at Access Independence. I love it! I answer phones, greet people, file records and anything else staff needs help with.

Terri has jumped in at Access Independence helping answer phone calls, shredding papers, filing helping clients get equipment and anything else that is needed. Thank you, Terri, for everything you do!

♿💙 Changing Lives Through Mobility and Independence! 💙♿

Access Independence is thrilled to share that we recently provided two electric wheelchairs to local clients, giving them greater freedom, mobility, and independence in their daily lives.

These life-changing wheelchairs were made possible through the incredible generosity of Frank and Nikki Klebieko. Their support is helping individuals in our community overcome barriers and live more independently.

We are deeply grateful for Frank and Nikki's compassion and commitment to making a difference. Because of donors like them, Access Independence can continue to provide vital equipment and services that improve quality of life for people with disabilities throughout our region.

Our Halloween baking class at Access Independence was a frightfully fun time! Our participants got creative making delicious dirt cups topped with gummy worms. They may have looked a little creepy, but they were absolutely delicious! Most of all, thank you to Joanie for organizing the class! 🧡💙

Michael has 4 sons who all have special needs. He works for the Town of Middletown. When he can, he volunteers with Access Independence. He has done events from handing out candy, taking out trash, helping build a bike, making popcorn, teaching a class on maintenance work during our summer academy and everything in between. Another busy day of promoting independent living at Access Independence! 💙

Our team was out in the community completing several projects, including the installation of three grab bars and a ramp project in Middletown.
