Attention Parents of Student Athletes:

As we gear up for sports physical season, we want to remind you of an important requirement from the State of Virginia:

Parents/guardians must complete their portion of the Virginia sports physical form in full before our providers can fill out theirs.

Parents/guardians must complete their portion and either bring the form to the appointment or submit it via our online paperwork platform, IntakeQ, prior to the appointment.

Back-to-school season will be here before we know it... and if there’s one thing more stressful than school supply shopping, it’s trying to schedule a physical the week before school starts.

And yes, we know... for some of us, summer break started approximately five minutes ago. Parenting in a nutshell: one thing ends and somehow you’re already planning for the next thing. 😅

But if your child needs an annual physical, sports physical, or medication form for the upcoming school year, now is the time to schedule. Summer appointments fill quickly, and the back-to-school rush sneaks up fast.

Save yourself the last-minute scramble and give us a call to get scheduled early!

✨ Online Appointments Expanded to Physicians!✨
Online appointment scheduling worked so well with our midlevel providers, we've decided to expand it to our physicians' schedules too!

Beginning today (April 27th), families may schedule sick appointments directly through the patient portal, with the first available appointments starting Tuesday, April 28th.

Here’s what to know:
✔️ Sick visits only
✔️ Appointments with physicians and midlevel providers
✔️ Same-day or next-day scheduling only
✔️ Morning appointment times
✔️ Appointments are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis

How it works:
1. Log into your child’s patient portal
2. Click “Schedule Appointment”
3. Select your child and visit reason
4. Choose an available time
5. Confirm your appointment

If you don’t see an appointment that meets your needs, or if your child needs a different type of visit, please give us a call and our team will be happy to help.

We’re excited to offer expanded online appointment scheduling and make it even easier for families to schedule when they need it.

✔️ Available times: 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM
✔️ Appointments are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis

It looks like a few items decided to extend their visit with us after recent appointments. While we enjoy the extra company, we’re pretty sure they’d rather be back home.

If you recognize something, stop by the front desk next time you’re in the office and we’ll happily reunite you with it.

✨ Big news at Wi******er Pediatric Clinic! ✨

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Katie Bovee, MD, FAAP to Wi******er Pediatric Clinic this June!

Dr. Bovee is a board-certified pediatrician with over 13 years of experience caring for infants, children, and adolescents. She is passionate about building lasting relationships with families and providing compassionate, evidence-based pediatric care.

Dr. Bovee earned her medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

Outside of the office, Dr. Bovee enjoys live music (especially Dave Matthews Band), reading, traveling, spending time at the beach collecting sea glass, and cheering on her favorite football teams. Many of her weekends are also spent at swim meets, supporting her family.

We are thrilled to have her join our team and help care for the children of our community.

Please join us in giving Dr. Bovee a warm welcome! 👋
