Today I will be at the Windham Pride Festival from 12-4 supporting the new area of remembrance 💝
In this area you can participate in an art installation created by local artist Amy Beth MacDonald. Write a memory about someone on a piece of origami paper and then learn how to fold it into a crane. The cranes will then be strung together on ribbon and hung up to create a memorial that you can walk through. This represents the idea is that grief and joy can both exist simultaneously.
I will be here supporting people who want to notice where they hold grief and joy internally and help them gain a felt sense of holding that duality in their body.
From Windham DEI:
Pride is a celebration, but it is also an opportunity to honor those we carry with us.
This year, Windham NH Pride 2026 will feature an Area of Remembrance, created by local artist Amy Beth MacDonald in partnership with Trauma Sensitive Certified Practitioner Sarah Vose.
This quiet space will offer opportunities for contemplation, reflection, and remembrance. Visitors are invited to contribute names, memories, and messages to a growing community art installation throughout the day, creating a collective expression of love, legacy, and connection.
Sarah Vose of Body and Mind Physical Therapy and Wellness will be present to offer support to those who may wish to process emotions or simply have a compassionate presence nearby.
Whether you are remembering a loved one, honoring someone who shaped your journey, or simply seeking a quiet moment amid the celebration, we hope this space offers comfort and connection. 💛
