Women’s Health event on June 20th at 10 am
The Women’s Health Collective (a collaboration between Hartford Health Initiative, Lucinda’s House, and Phillips Health Ministry) has partnered with Planned Parenthood of Southern New England to host a Health and Wellness Series event about Women’s Health. We’re looking forward to offering expert presentations, pap smears/cervical cancer screening, activities, giveaways, and more! Understanding Preeclampsia Community Workshop Series June 19th 1 pm – 3 pm, June 26th 4 pm – 6 pm, and July 3rd 1 pm – 3 pm.
Join Lucinda’s House for a 3-part community workshop series focused on understanding preeclampsia, recognizing warning signs, and taking aspirin to prevent preeclampsia. This series is designed to provide education, support, and resources in a welcoming and community-centered environment.

Today Lucindas House received a cart full of diapers donated by the Episcopal Church Women in Connecticut. This generous donation was organized by their Vice President, Denise Cain Welsh. Her daughter Lori Reynolds, M.A. just dropped them off.
Support like this is what helps Lucinda’s House continue to thrive and serve families in our community. I am deeply grateful for this act of community care, compassion, and support for mothers and babies.

The Lucinda’s House sign came—and I am SO excited! 💜

Seeing the vision continue to come to life means so much to me. Lucinda’s House was built with love, purpose, community, and a deep commitment to advancing maternal health equity.

Every step of this journey reminds me that this work matters. I cannot wait to continue growing, serving, and creating spaces where women and families feel seen, heard, and supported.
