The gap between the fingers…

That space has always spoken to me.

The longing.
The reaching.
The ache for union between humanity and the Divine.

Michelangelo didn’t paint two fingers touching.
He painted the sacred space in between.

The place where awakening happens.
Where desire meets surrender.
Where the soul remembers there is something more.

God reaching toward man.
Man reaching toward God.

A divine invitation into communion, consciousness, intimacy, and union.

Maybe the gap itself is the message…
that deep within every human being is an eternal longing to return to the Source from which we came.

Sometimes we just want to feel alive.

Sometimes allowing ourself to “feel” is the most “alive” thing we can do.

Sometimes that looks like allowing ourself to feel things we have been conditioned to believe are bad and therefore have suppressed within us.

Things like:
Anger
Rage
Grief
Sadness
Blissful Joy
Ecstasy
Happiness
Love
Softness
Tenderness
Sexuality
Sensuality
Or**sm

I think our capacity to feel, is one of our greatest gifts in being human and having a body. To feel deeply is a superpower.

I am often reminded of the movie “City of Angels” with Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan. To be a Spiritual Being who has no access to the sensory experience like an embodied person does is such a gift.

What we take for granted will slip by without our full receiving of it leaving regret in its wake.

💕Touch with total presence-feel deeply
💕Taste with total presence-feel that which you taste deeply.
💕See with total presence-feel what your eyes are taking in.
💕Listen to the sounds around you with total presence and feel them reverberating in your body.

Feel the full range of emotions that arise. Witness them with penetrating presence. Feel them deeply and let them pass. Do. Not hold on. Let them come and let them go. What a gift to have this kind of power.

Bodies— without them what would there be?

I am so excited and honored to announce that I’ve been invited to speak at the upcoming virtual summit—“Courage and Grace: Women at a Crossroads” hosted by Becky Swanson, Divorce, Life and Leadership Coach.

Transition points are my area of expertise and I look forward to bringing clarity and grounding to women who are feeling the pull to the next phase of their journey.
