I am excited about a new initiative called Modify NOTA that will bring us closer to ending the shortage of kidneys. Currently 92,000 Americans are waiting for a kidney transplant and between 13 and 110 die each day waiting for a kidney. The number of living donors has declined 7% in the past 20 years while the number of people needing kidneys has doubled during that time. It’s time to compensate donors to end the kidney shortage.

Join the Coalition to Modify the National Organ Transplantation Act of 1984 to allow for government compensation of organs.
