Long overdue intro post:

Kal-ee is a dream to have in my barn. She is everything I’ve hoped for and I simply cannot wait for her future as she matures with more freshenings.

She is the definition of dairy: as a 1F, she freshened over a week early with triplets, the gorgeous little doeling DOA, the bucklings both made it with some intense intervention including tube feeding for a period of time. I was extremely happy with Kal-ee milking over 3 lbs a day but we had to dry her up early in her lactation before her peak so we could make our planned vacation so slowly tried drying her off. She the went 10 days without being milked while we were gone, still had some milk when we got back and I thought I might see if she wanted to milk at all. Well she’s back up over 2.5 lbs a day without anything special.

I’m so excited for this girl and her desire to work and her future on our farm. I kept BOTH of her bucklings and have already attempted to use one of them. We are so thankful to Lisa Kramar-Taylor and Curly Goose for their impact on our herd and their friendship.

Show day in Walterboro! Today at the Fall Frenzy was our first time ever showing juniors and we only brought 2 because all of our junior girls are in the same age bracket for this show and 2 is all we had for handlers lol.

Mirabel AR Vera (Axl x Gwen) went 4th then 3rd in our large intermediate class of 14. She will be bred to Brooks (Bella Rossa Estate Spaceballs) in the spring.

Mirabel AR Dot (Axl x Bebe) went 4th behind her half sister in ring 2. She will be bred to Tide (Winning Streak R Tidal Wave) in the spring.

Perhaps most importantly, Ben entered the ring for the first time and found himself in the top 4 of our class both shows 😅😅

Congrats to all the winners today and thank you to our gracious and efficient show host, organizers, and volunteers Tamara Crosby Lake

As we approach announcing our three December kiddings, take a look at one of our two potential sires for the breedings:

Bella Rossa Estate Spaceballs *B
“Brooks”

Sire: GCH Castle Rock Moon Rock ++*B VEE91
SD: SGCH Castle Rock Moon Beam 3*M EEEE92 (2nd place 3rd and 2nd place udder at the 2015 ADGA National Show)
*His sire's maternal sister is the 2019 National Champion
*He has a ff daughter that milked over 1500lbs and several others that milked over 900lbs as ff
*He is grandsire to the 2023 ADGA Nationals 1st place senior kid

Dam: Wishing Starr Got The Munchies 1*M
DD: Starr Family Farms Nibbles VEEE90
DS: Violet’s Acre Fox Hunter *B

Brooks is a late bloomer we’ve had here since early 2025 when we got him as a bottle kid. He’s slowly coming around to thinking girls may not be the devil, and we are excited about some of the genetics he brings to the table. He is incredibly long and standing on the strongest feet I have on the farm. His full brother, Bella Rossa Estate Cheese *B, one year older and owned by LT-Farm Nigerian Dwarfs, has been doing outstanding in the show ring and has some GORGEOUS daughters holding their own as well.

Here’s to hoping for some Brooks kiddos!

The last of our 2026 keeper doelings🥁🥁🥁:

Mirabel AR Jasmine 💜💜

Sire: Curly Goose TC Axl Rose
Dam: Mirabel RL Halle Berry

This girl is special in more ways than one. The daughter of our first real bottle raised goat and a true favorite on the farm: my heart goat Halle Berry. I wish I had a photo where Jasmine isn’t fighting me and posting (leaning back), but this girl has thoughts of her own haha. Halle’s line is one of our slower growing lines, so this girl is inevitably going to take time to blossom, but I love some of the pieces I’m seeing right now, even if she won’t let me capture them in a perfect photo right now.

And like the rest of the Axl kids, she is incredibly sweet and sociable. So excited about this entire kid crop and where we are headed from here.

The one, the only: McRiblet!

My March 4th birthday twin has been hefty since she got her giant, singleton self dragged out of her mother’s uterus (Tiffany was ok thank goodness) and hasn’t wasted a moment capitalizing on growing ever since. At not yet 6 months old, she is 55 lbs and has been on grass hay and VERY limited grain for over a month (aka the crumbs she nibbles up after her sisters have eaten). Safe to say she’ll be finding a date in October.

High five for our easy keepers 🤣🙌🙌
