It's time for another Tuesday Tip!

If a patient has two insurance plans, it's often best to wait before collecting a copay. In many cases, the secondary insurance will cover the remaining copay after the primary insurance processes the claim. If a balance remains after both claims are processed, you can bill the patient at that time.

Small billing best practices like this can help improve the patient experience while reducing unnecessary refunds and administrative work for practices.

🐾 Pets of PedsOne 🐾

✨ Clover Nugget (Heather C.’s dog, age 3)
Clover Nugget may be 3 years old, but when she’s tired, overstimulated or not feeling well, she still nurses on Heather’s thumb like a puppy. Heather says she can already picture Clover as a little old lady someday, still doing the exact same thing! Clover loves naps, fetch, bird watching and a little mischief — plus she enjoys homemade dinners (because apparently regular dog food just won’t do). With her beautiful coat and spoiled lifestyle, it’s no surprise Heather calls her the love of her life and her soulmate.

We’re loving getting to know all the furry family members of PedsOne! 🐾💙
