Day 1 of the Practice Managers Conference kicked off with real excitement as colleagues from clinics across the country came together. We don’t often get the chance to connect in person, so seeing teams meet face-to-face meant a lot. These moments help us build stronger bonds that directly improve patient care.

Throughout the morning, our teams shared ideas and stories, learning from one another’s experiences and successes. Lunch and breaks gave everyone a chance to relax, build relationships, and discuss new ways to support our patients and communities.

Thanks to everyone who brought their energy and commitment today. Every conversation moves us closer to delivering even better care for every patient we serve.

Happy first day of fall! As the seasons change, so do allergy triggers. Ragweed pollen is one of the most common fall allergens, while outdoor mold can also trigger symptoms, particularly in damp conditions. Because different allergens become more prevalent throughout the year, you may experience allergy symptoms in the fall that you didn't notice during the summer.

Even if summer was easy on your allergies, fall can bring new triggers. If your symptoms have changed with the season, talk to your allergist about long-term treatment options.

Ask the Expert: Is It a Cold or Allergies?

When symptoms like a runny nose, congestion, sneezing, or a sore throat show up, it can be difficult to tell whether you’re dealing with a cold or allergies.

In this Ask the Expert video, Dr. Bill McCann shares key differences between cold and allergy symptoms, what to watch for, and when it may be helpful to speak with an allergy specialist.

If you’re unsure whether your symptoms are caused by a cold or allergies, watch the video to learn more about what to look for and how to better understand your symptoms.

Today we remember September 11, 2001 — the lives taken, the families forever changed, and the extraordinary courage shown by so many that day.

At Allergy Partners, we take a moment to honor their memory and to recommit ourselves to the values of service and compassion that define who we are.

Never forget.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Potter to Allergy Partners of the Piedmont!

A Mississippi native, Dr. Potter is excited to call Winston-Salem home once again alongside his wife, a local native. He brings a broad range of experience from military medicine and private practice, with a special passion for providing individualized, disease-modifying care for both children and adults through strong patient partnerships.

Outside the office, Dr. Potter enjoys time with family, cheering on his high-schooler, and getting outdoors—especially mountain biking.
We’re thrilled to have him as part of our community!
