Our participants had an exciting time completing a grocery store scavenger hunt! This fun, hands-on activity helped everyone learn valuable shopping skills, including how to compare prices, read nutrition labels, locate items throughout the store, and make informed purchasing decisions.

📚🎨 Reading, Learning, and Creating Every Day! 🎨📚

At Prestige Enterprises Adult Day Training, we believe that every day is an opportunity to grow, learn, and express ourselves!

Reading helps strengthen communication skills, improve comprehension, expand vocabulary, and build confidence. Whether we're reading stories, discussing current events, or exploring new topics, our participants are constantly discovering new ideas and perspectives.

We also make time for creativity every day! Through art projects, crafts, coloring, painting, and other creative activities, our participants are encouraged to express themselves, use their imagination, and showcase their unique talents. Creativity not only brings joy but also helps develop problem-solving skills, focus, and self-confidence.

One of the best parts of our day is seeing our participants engaged, learning new skills, and taking pride in their accomplishments. Every book read, every project completed, and every smile shared is a reminder that learning never stops.

We are so proud of the effort, enthusiasm, and creativity our participants bring each and every day! ❤️

🌭🎉 Surprise Adventure Day! 🎉🌭

Every now and then, we like to sneak away and do something that's not on our calendar! Today was one of those days!

When we got a call letting us know that Sonic was offering 99¢ corn dogs, we couldn't pass up the opportunity. We loaded up, hit the road, and enjoyed a fun afternoon together filled with great food, laughter, and lots of smiles.

Sometimes the best memories are the unplanned ones. Our participants had a wonderful time getting out in the community, enjoying a special treat, and spending quality time with friends.

A huge THANK YOU to Sonic for offering these great specials and giving our group an affordable way to enjoy a fun outing. We appreciate businesses that help make community experiences accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

💵💳 Life Skills in Action! 💳💵

Our participants worked hard on an important life skills lesson all about money management! We spent time learning to identify currency, count dollars and cents, make purchases, calculate change, and even practice using debit cards for transactions.

Understanding how money works is an essential skill that promotes independence, confidence, and success in everyday life. From recognizing coins and bills to learning how electronic payments are processed, our participants embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and determination.

I am incredibly proud of how hard everyone worked during this activity. The focus, effort, and willingness to learn that each participant demonstrated was truly amazing. Watching them build confidence in skills they can use in real-world situations is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Every day is an opportunity to learn something new, and today was a great reminder that even small lessons can make a big impact on future independence. Keep up the great work, everyone—you should be proud of yourselves! 👏🎉

🌮🌵 Community Outing Spotlight 🌵🌮

Last month our participants enjoyed an amazing lunch outing at Azteca, one of our favorite local Mexican restaurants! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality, vibrant décor, and an atmosphere that celebrated the rich culture and traditions of Mexico.

Our group had the opportunity to explore authentic Mexican cuisine, enjoying a variety of flavorful dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes. From tacos and enchiladas to rice, beans, and delicious homemade salsas, every meal was filled with bold flavors that showcased the heart of Mexican cooking.

Beyond the food, this outing was a wonderful opportunity to learn about Mexican culture, which is known for its strong sense of family, community, music, art, and culinary traditions. Experiencing different cultures helps our participants broaden their understanding of the world while creating meaningful memories together.

We are grateful to the staff at Azteca for providing exceptional service and making our dining experience so enjoyable. Our participants had a fantastic time sharing laughs, trying new foods, and enjoying fellowship with friends.

At Prestige Enterprises Adult Day Training, we believe community outings are about more than just getting out of the center—they are opportunities to learn, connect, and experience the diverse cultures that make our communities so special.

Last Friday our group enjoyed a wonderful educational and community outing to Hollis Garden in Lakeland! 🌺🌿

Located along the beautiful shores of Lake Mirror, Hollis Garden is a stunning 1.2-acre botanical garden featuring more than 10,000 flowers, ornamental shrubs, native trees, fountains, and themed garden rooms. Our participants enjoyed exploring the colorful landscapes, peaceful walking paths, and beautiful water features while spending time outdoors with friends.

Did you know? The vision for a formal garden at Lake Mirror dates back to the 1920s as part of Lakeland's "City Beautiful" movement. Although the original plans were never completed due to economic hardships, the dream finally became a reality in 2000 thanks to a generous donation from the Hollis family. Today, Hollis Garden stands as one of Lakeland's most treasured landmarks and a beautiful reminder of the importance of community, history, and nature.

We love providing opportunities for our participants to learn about local history, experience new places, and build meaningful connections within our community. Thank you to everyone who made today's trip so enjoyable!

This week at Prestige ADT Center, we took a pretend trip to Mexico and we had an amazing time! 🇲🇽✈️

Our travelers completed passport applications, took passport photos, and arrived Friday ready for departure with their luggage and carry-on bags. They even had the opportunity to check in their bags and walk through TSA before boarding Prestige Airlines! 🧳🛫

Once onboard, passengers enjoyed in-flight drinks and snacks served by their flight attendant (me 😊). We pretended to take off, fly, and land safely in Mexico for a fun-filled travel experience our clients won’t forget.

A huge thank you to one of our amazing parents for donating the aircraft snacks and to all the wonderful passengers who flew with Prestige Airlines! ❤️

Last week our participants had an amazing time exploring Lake Eva Community Park in Haines City! ☀️🌴

Not only did we enjoy the beautiful park, walking trails, and fun outdoor activities, but we also learned about the history of Lake Eva and the importance it has to the Haines City community. Lake Eva Park has become one of the city’s most loved gathering places for recreation, community events, wellness, and family fun.

Our participants enjoyed learning, socializing, and making memories together while experiencing one of Polk County’s beautiful community treasures. Trips like these help encourage community engagement, independence, social skills, physical activity, and educational growth. ❤️

We love creating meaningful experiences for our participants both inside and outside the classroom! 🌎✨
