2016 was that year.

After everything 2015 threw at us, we finally found ourselves on the other side. A year earlier, Marissa’s daughter Ever was born with a birth defect, and the unknown kept their family living between hope and hospital walls. At the very same time, Jessie’s parents were in a devastating motorcycle accident, pulling her between Maine, her family, and the salon she loved.

Somehow, in the middle of fear, travel, heartbreak, and exhaustion, we showed up for each other. Jessie held things down for months when Marissa couldn’t. Later, Marissa did the same when Jessie stepped away. No questions, no hesitation.

We didn’t just survive that season. We came out stronger, closer, and more grounded than ever. It deepened our bond, and it deepened our gratitude for our clients who trusted us, supported us, and stood by us through it all.

2016 taught us what resilience, friendship, and community really mean. ✨
