My full statement to The Reporter:

“I’ve personally known Supervisor John Vasquez and his familia for decades, and I hold him in the highest regard for both his service to our country and his decades of dedicated work in local government. While his recent absences from the Board are understandably a concern for residents who want consistent representation, I believe they must be viewed in the context of his serious health battle. As a candidate, my commitment is to be present and fully engaged at every meeting on behalf of our community, but as a neighbor, Marine, and public servant, I stand with John and his family during this difficult time. I sincerely hope he beats this cancer and is able to close out his long career on a high note, as a fighter and a survivor.”

Roy Stockton just cleared something up: Mayor John Carli did NOT sign an NDA with California Forever. Good. That means there’s no excuse—ask him directly. If he’s willing, he should turn his comments on and answer the people who elected him.
I’ve made my stance clear. Meanwhile, many of my opponents stay quiet. That’s not leadership. If someone wants to represent you, they should be ready to answer tough questions—publicly.
Hold them accountable. They are elected officials.
As for me, I’ll always tell you exactly where I stand. I’m not chasing endorsements from developers or billionaires who don’t even live here—I’m earning yours.

Every resident of District 4 deserves the chance to ask questions and hear directly from those running to represent them—no matter their political views.
