💙 Honoring Joyce Sethre Lawrence
The 100 Club and Faith Lutheran Home would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the family and siblings of Joyce Sethre Lawrence for their generous memorial gift in her honor.
Their thoughtful gift was chosen as a meaningful way to give back to the community Joyce called home. Because of their generosity, residents in our Memory Unit now have a new Penner walk-in whirlpool bathing tub, designed with a low-entry door, built-in seating, and supportive handrails to make bathing safer, more comfortable, and more accessible. The therapeutic whirlpool also provides a relaxing experience that supports our residents' comfort and well-being. 🛁💙
We are so grateful for this beautiful way to honor Joyce’s memory, and for the lasting difference it will make for the residents of Faith Lutheran Home.
Thank you to Joyce’s family for turning her memory into a gift that continues to care for others in the community she loved.

Falls can happen to anyone, but knowing your risk is an important first step in preventing them. 🏡🦶 Take a look at our checklist and see how many risk factors apply to you or a loved one. If you check several boxes, it may be time to talk with your healthcare provider about ways to reduce your risk. A little prevention can go a long way toward keeping you safe, steady, and independent!

With Poplar Indian Days just around the corner, we’d like to share an important message from the Poplar Fire Department with everyone planning to camp at American Legion Park.
With conditions being especially dry, please use extra caution with campfires, grills, and other sources of heat. Never leave a fire unattended, keep water nearby, and make sure your fire is completely out and cold before leaving your campsite. 🔥💧

PSA:
With Poplar Indian Days nearing upon us we'd like to send out this message to everyone who plan on camping out down at the American Legion Park.

Overdose Awareness Day | August 31
Today is a day to remember those we’ve lost, support those affected by substance use, and remind our communities that overdose is preventable and help is available.
The numbers show why this conversation matters here in Montana:
• 1,501 Montanans died from drug overdoses between 2014–2023, an average of about 150 deaths each year.
• Drug overdose was the 4th leading cause of injury death in Montana during that period.
• About 8 in 10 overdose deaths were unintentional.
• Fentanyl and methamphetamine have been major contributors to the increase in overdose deaths.
Knowing the signs of an overdose, having naloxone (Narcan) available, and knowing when to call for emergency help can save a life. If you suspect an opioid overdose, call 911 immediately and administer naloxone if available.
💜 There is no shame in asking for help. Recovery is possible, and every life is worth saving.

💙 National Grief Awareness Day. While the stages of grief can help us understand some of the emotions people may experience, not everyone experiences them in the same order, or even experiences every stage.
Today, we’re reminded to be patient and compassionate with ourselves and others as we navigate loss. 🕊️
Sometimes, the most important thing we can do is simply listen, be present, and let someone know they’re not alone. 💙
