Happiest Birthday, April! 🎉

For 16 years we’ve shared this salon floor, and somehow every year we still manage to squeeze in a birthday celebration right in the middle of a cut, color, or shampoo. Yesterday was no different — a quick round of Happy Birthday and a slice of peanut butter Oreo yumminess while clients looked on and laughed with us.

April, you are talented, beautiful being, and such an important part of our Salon 272 family. Your dedication to your clients never goes unnoticed.

I hope today you find a quiet moment to slow down, take it all in, and enjoy your day — because you truly deserve it.

14 years.
That’s kind of wild.

Fourteen years ago, I bought Salon Firenze … now Salon 272 .

My parents helped me do it.
My family stood behind me.
They believed in me before I fully believed in myself.

I didn’t just buy a salon.
I stepped into something that mattered to a lot of people.

It wasn’t just hair.
It was how my staff paid their bills.
How they fed their families.
That responsibility was real.

I didn’t have it all figured out.
I questioned myself.
I learned the business fast — sometimes alone.
I had to grow into leadership quicker than I expected.

In those 14 years, life happened.

Some of it beautiful.
Some of it hard.
All of it shaping us.

And through it all — we kept showing up.

We made hard team changes.
We grew. We adjusted. We kept showing up.

Through all of it — the salon stayed standing.

Salon 272 today is a safe place.
For my staff.
For creativity.
For support.
Sometimes just to breathe.

I worked hard to create a space where respect matters.
Where growth is encouraged.
Where artists feel supported.
Where we protect our peace as much as our craft.

To our amazing clients — thank you. Truly.
You’re not just appointments. You’re relationships.

And honestly… we’re not for everyone.

We’re artists. We believe in trust and partnership.
We’re not magicians. If you’ve been unhappy chair to chair, we can’t promise magic — but we can promise heart, skill, and honesty.

This didn’t just “happen.”
It was built with faith, family support, resilience, and a lot of learning.
