🚨 CRANBERRY SAUCE HAS BEEN LYING TO US FOR 100 YEARS.

It was never meant to sit untouched beside the turkey. It was meant to become SOUR GUMMY CANDY. 😳

We turned one can of Goode Foods Cranberry Jellied Sauce into intensely tart, chewy, sugar-coated gummy bites—and I’m prepared to say it:

This might be the best thing cranberry sauce has ever done.

GOODE FOODS CRANBERRY SOUR GUMMY BITES

Ingredients:

* 1 can (14 oz) Goode Foods Cranberry Jellied Sauce
* ⅓ cup cold water
* 4 packets unflavored gelatin (1 oz total)
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice
* ½ cup granulated sugar
* 1–2 teaspoons food-grade citric acid, depending on how sour you want them

Instructions:

1. Line an 8-by-8-inch pan with parchment paper.
2. Sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
3. Warm the cranberry sauce over low heat, whisking until smooth. Do not boil.
4. Remove it from the heat and whisk in the bloomed gelatin until completely dissolved. Stir in the lemon juice.
5. Pour the mixture into the pan and refrigerate for 3–4 hours, or until firm.
6. Cut it into small, imperfect gummy squares.
7. Let the pieces sit uncovered in the refrigerator for about an hour so their surfaces become less sticky.
8. Mix the sugar and citric acid, then coat the gummies immediately before serving.

Store them uncoated in the refrigerator and add the sour sugar when you’re ready to eat them.

Be honest: Would you try these—or have we officially taken cranberry sauce too far? 👀
