FOLLOW GOD & BE CURRENT BLESSING-WISE
Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord. 2 Kings 20:5
We always hear people say that God reveals to redeem but some people do not understand such redemptive moves of God. When Isaiah came to King Hezekiah to put his house in order because his time was up, those that were there when Isaiah told Hezekiah that he should prepare to die would conclude that that was it. When some were expecting Hezekiah to die and did not see him. They would say that the prophet lied.
Most of the time, following the Lord and what happens to people are conditional. When in I Samuel 3, the Lord told Eli what he was about to do to his family, if Eli had called his family and had repented from what the Lord had said, things could have turned out differently. Most often, if such prophecies did not come true as the prophet had spoken it, people would call him fake, not understanding that they are the ones who are making mistakes and not current with the Lord. This also could go in the way of blessing too. If a prophesy concerning a blessing is released on a person and the person moves or wonders or drifts away from a receiving position, he ought not to blame the prophet. Especially for blessings that carry conditions, one must be in a blessed position to receive them.
However, in Genesis 13, Abraham had his nephew, Lot chose a place to inhabit with his blessings before Abraham, but while he chose the green and rich valley which was better, Abraham was left with the other portion of land that did not look that good. The turnout of things is that Abraham got greatly blessed with the portion he was left with. The lesson is that when people seek and serve the Lord, they can always turn bad prophecies into good prophecies like Hezekiah did; never accept bad prophecies no matter who the prophet is – you can always turn it around by praying to the Lord and presenting your strong reasons. Above all, stay in the place and position of the blessed by seeking to be blessed by obedience, by pleasing the Lord, and in relationship and fellowship with Him.
For you who fear the Lord, following the Lord wholeheartedly and being current with Him brings great reward. In the position of the blessed, like Abraham, you can receive information from them and cause it to be turned around! Also, never will any blessing be stolen from you! Your blessings will always abide, everything prospers at your hand, and you shall dwell secured anywhere the soles of your feet treads!
