Colon Cancer Stars WA Non-Profit | Dedicated to educating everyone about symptoms and on time screening. Our certified oncology navigator is happy to help one on one.

We have one of the longest running support/networking group for those battling the disease in our state. Welcome to Colon Cancer Stars! Founded in 2008, Colon Cancer Stars is a Washington nonprofit dedicated to continuing the impactful work initiated by the Colorectal Cancer Task Force. As a proud Washington Comprehensive Cancer Control Partnership member, we are committed to reducing colorectal c

ancer incidence and mortality rates. At Colon Cancer Stars, we're on a mission to save lives by spreading awareness about the critical importance of colorectal cancer screening. Colorectal cancer ranks as the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. Our vision is to provide exceptional, quality information to every individual we reach, ultimately striving for a world where this devastating disease no longer claims lives unnecessarily. Goals:
• Increase awareness about the life-saving benefits of colorectal cancer screening.
• Provide vital support to families during the early stages of their loved one's treatment journey.
• Expand access to prevention, screening, and treatment resources for underserved communities.
• Boost colorectal cancer screening rates across the board.
• Assist patients in navigating the complex medical system to ensure they receive the best possible care.
• Foster collaborative relationships between healthcare providers and patients to promote regular colorectal screening and proactive healthcare. Join us in our fight against colorectal cancer. Together, we can make a difference and save lives. Follow us for valuable information, resources, and support.

We’re proud to highlight Washington-based author Briana Ghbein and her new book, Ada Asks About Cancer.

Drawing from her own experience facing multiple cancer diagnoses while raising a young child, Briana created this book to help families talk about cancer in a gentle, age-appropriate way.

A meaningful resource for parents and caregivers navigating difficult conversations with honesty, compassion, and hope. 💙

As we gear up for the Scramble FORE Colon STARS Charity Golf Tournament, we can’t help but think back to an unforgettable moment at the Cologuard Classic by Exact Sciences Pro-Am.

One of our Colon STARS members had the chance to play on Team Julie Foudy… going head-to-head with fellow Olympian Abby Wambach. And of course, there was a bet on the line.

The loser had to present the winner with their trophy.

Well… Joe’s team came in third and beat Abby’s team, which meant Abby had to present them with the trophy. And if that wasn’t enough, Abby also agreed to wear a p**p emoji hat on their next podcast hosted by Julie, Abby, and Billie Jean King.

It was one of those days you don’t forget. Fun, meaningful, and full of moments that remind us why we do what we do.

And let’s not forget… both Julie Foudy and Abby Wambach are 2x Olympic medalists and 2x World Cup Champions.

As we plan for our own tournament, we’re looking forward to creating more moments like this. A little competition, a lot of heart, and a whole lot of impact.

We invite you to join us on September 19th.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Valley View Health Center event in March to learn more about colon cancer screening and prevention.

Events like these are so important in helping patients and staff learn about screening options and the importance of early detection. Together, we can continue spreading the message that colorectal cancer is preventable, treatable, and beatable.

Let’s keep the awareness going all year long.

https://www.siff.net/cinema/in-theaters/andre-is-an-idiot We want to highlight and support this wonderful movie. Some of our Support Group Members saw it in Tucson while attending the Cologuard Classic and shared how impactful it was.

We’ll be attending the April 10 at 7:30 pm showing at the SIFF Film Center, which will include a question-and-answer session after the film. It’s playing all weekend and is a must-see. 🎬

Location: 167 Republican St, Seattle, WA 98109, on the Seattle Center Campus
