The U.S. Surgeon General has called the devastating decline in the mental health of kids across the country “an urgent health crisis”. According to the CDC, the rates of su***de, self-harm, anxiety, and depression are up among adolescents. The trend began prior to the pandemic but was greatly exacerbated by it. Hospital admissions data shows the number of teenage girls who have been suicidal has increased 50% nationwide. Teens expressed feeling a loss of self.
