Recently after a day of trying on sundresses to see if they’d fit my new pregnancy bod Danny and I realized how much my body is changing to prepare for our baby as one sundress after another clearly weren’t fitting. ⁣
⁣
I meeeaan we were both trying to stuff my bits and bobs into these dresses which I was convinced were going to be forgiving enough, and we both we just laughing and equally in shock at how quickly my body has changed so far.⁣
⁣
Shortly after, we both agreed some online shopping had to happen for a few lounge essentials and some breezy sundresses for walks outside. ⁣
⁣
He then said to me while getting ready for bed, “I hope you know that I really appreciate what you are putting your body through for our baby...”⁣
As he turns around and turns on my humidifier for me so I can sleep easier tonight...🥺Cue the waterworks.... ⁣

We are finally at our halfway point in this pregnancy journey and baby is growing and healthy as is mom and I am so so thankful for this. It of course isn’t always easy, but to have your partner’s support and understanding through the good times and the struggles means absolutely everything. Three cheers for all the pregnancy partners out there!!⁣

Hello friends!! There’s been a lot going on lately and I have to know, how are you doing? ⁣

Here at the Patt house we have been doing our best... but I’ve been doing A LOT of thinking.....⁣

I’m sure many of you like me, have had an abundance of time to think about what the next few months will be looking like. I’ve personally been thinking about how my life will be changing in the next few months and realized that I am on a totally different journey than I have ever been before.⁣

I’ve decided to make a few changes here at Amerin (don’t worry the skincare isn’t going anywhere), but I want to open my journey up to you and bring you along for the ride, because honestly for me, I’m not going to be able to stick only to skincare anymore.....⁣

I am SO thankful for all of you! Without you I would have no reason to make and create and share what I’ve learned. I cannot wait to see what this next year of making and creating brings but for now, I’m just so grateful to have you all a part of this journey!⁣

I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving holiday. I had two thanksgivings this year one with my side of the family and then we had our thanksgiving at home last week with Danny’s family and a few friends as Danny was scheduled to be on shift for the holiday. ⁣
⁣
One of my favorite new traditions for thanksgiving is the thanksgiving gift 🤗. I find a fun present that can engage the whole family and wrap it up and place it under the tree for a lucky someone to open it after dinner. Last years was one of those Bluetooth microphones, and boy is that still giving the gift of pure entertainment 🎤 . ⁣

Sometimes you just need a break....⁣
The last couple of weeks have become increasingly full of deadlines and decisions that left me feeling overwhelmed and confused. With our Wedding ceremony approaching and the holidays arriving I realized that I was just not taking care of myself the way I should be.⁣
⁣
So, I took my own self care advice and spent the last couple of weeks...⁣
⁣
+ saying no to things that were going to make my situation harder⁣
+ spending quality time with family, in Arizona and Illinois⁣
+ taking a break from picking up my phone and ended up forgetting where my phone was and being ok with it. ⁣
+ made the effort to cook clean, well balanced meals at home which is feeling SO good!⁣
+ enjoyed at least one kind of physical activity a day ( I’ve even downloaded some yoga and Pilates videos to have at home so there are no excuses!)⁣
⁣
This next week we will be heading to Mexico for our wedding ceremony and while these last few weeks of planning have been a little hard, I am getting sooooo excited to finally get there and enjoy our special day. ⁣
⁣

These feet have taken me on a journey that has shaped me through and through.⁣
⁣
These feet pushed me in through opening doors and opportunities even though the rest of me was terrified. From Chicago, to New York City, and through the seven seas, they have allowed me to feel music, tell stories, and evoke emotion in hundreds of thousands of audience members. ⁣
⁣
While they may be forever worn and reflective of the hard work put in, they are beautiful in their own way and continue to remind me of my passion for dancing and the rewarding career they have given me. ⁣⁣⁣
World ballet day was a few days ago and my dance career is something that a lot of people don’t know I had. I don’t believe that we can only have one passion in life. While I’m lucky to find passion in more than one career, Dance will always be with me and I would never want to forget what it has taught me and given me. 💕🦶👯‍♀️⁣

So, happy belated World Ballet Day to everyone that appreciates the beauty of dance!⁣⁣⁣

When your weekends are more exhausting than your weekdays... ☝️this is what you look forward to on a Monday.⁣

Seriously though, this was a non stop work weekend for me, and Danny has been at the firehouse for 48 hours now.... which means we are both tired and luckily we both agree on what to do tonight....⁣

Stay in⁣
make dinner at home⁣
Pour a glass of wine⁣
Catch up on some fave tv shows⁣
Then probably be in bed by 7:30 or 8 and just relax⁣⁣

If there are products that are sustainable that are not inconvenient to use, I am SO in. I’ve been thinking about switching to beeswax wraps and I’m super interested in these food huggers 🧐.

Have you have ever been SO obsessed with learning something new that you just spend every waking moment trying to master it in every way? ⁣
⁣
That’s what drew me to creating this brand - the passion to learn the ins and outs of everything skincare.⁣
⁣
I loved learning about everything your skin needs to function properly and age gracefully.⁣
⁣
I loved learning how incredible plants are and how they have the power to positively change your health on the inside and outside.⁣
⁣
I loved being able to say finally that yes, I own a business after learning how to design a website and file the papers to create it.⁣⁣⁣
Although some of the learning is more fun than others.... there is something empowering about being able to learn something new and make use of it.⁣
⁣
Some people laugh at how much random information I can bring to a conversation, but there is truly no better feeling than feeling empowered with knowledge..... regardless of how random it is... maybe those late nights looking up what really happened to Marie Antoinette will end up being worth it 🤷‍♀️🤣⁣
