One of the reasons I love spending time with the older generation is that they tell you the truth—even when it’s not what you want to hear.

There’s no sugarcoating, no pretending, and no need to say something just to make you feel good. Their honesty may sting in the moment, but sometimes it’s exactly what we need to hear to avoid making the same mistake twice.
