The thing about tattooing that I’ve always loved are the stories from my clients.
Beyond every tattoo, a story accompanies it. Sometimes, the story about the tattoo lies solely within the experience of that tattoo. Like, something crazy happening at the studio during tattoo time. Sometimes, the story has a deeper meaning. Sometimes, the story is very short like; “ I don’t know, I just wanted that cute little tatty.”
MY favorite thing to do is cover ups. They always come with a good story……
This woman’s boyfriend was IN JAIL. She decided to wait out the FIVE years he was in.(can I just say at this point that I haven’t found a mothafuka I would wait 5 damn years for) The last 6 months or so of his sentence he began to request of my client ONE THING he wanted when he got out.
He wanted HIS NAME tattooed on his girlfriend, AKA, my client. It was because of his persistence that she asked me to tattoo his name on her. She was unsure. She didn’t understand the urgency, but she wanted to make him happy.
I’ve been in this scenario before(believe it or not) and I’ve seen how these things turn out. So, I convinced her to do it in turquoise. I told her if she felt confident about it and things worked out, we could make it black, free of charge.
A few months later, she was back. I could tell by the look on her face that she wasn’t coming in to make that name black. Turns, out he requested SEVERAL women do exactly the same thing. Huh. who would have thought?🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
So, we put something pretty over it. F**K YOU ERIC!! I HOPE YOU WENT BACK TO PRISON! 💩💩
