Downriver, we are asking for your support for our Summer fundraiser on July 30th. It promises to be a fun family event and every dollar supports patient care. The need is growing faster than our resources. Please help if you can! We know we are all better off when everyone in our community can get the care they need, when they need it.
Women’s health is one of the most important services we provide at Downriver Community Clinic.
Recently, a patient came to us for a physical because she hadn’t seen a doctor for a few years after losing her insurance. After examination and diagnostic testing, she was found to have breast cancer. Her story is a powerful reminder of why access to preventive care, exams, diagnostic testing, and referrals matters so deeply — especially for uninsured women who may have delayed care because they had nowhere else to turn. This is true of most of our patients.
Your sponsorship or donation helps us provide free primary care and women’s health services for uninsured workers and students in our community. Early care can change the course of a life.
