Used to love drawing these!
One time I got invited to a convention with some friends I had only just started working with. It was my first convention out of state and I was stoked to be going. The day before our departure while we were preparing everything to bug out the next morning for our 5am black-coffee flight to California, I was stuffing whatever clothes I was grabbing in my backpack (I was still very young and new to adulting 😂) when I noticed that all the other dudes had badass stuff like prints and books and shirts and pre-drawn flash to sale from our booth at the convention. I had squat. Suddenly I realized just how underprepared I was for the experience that would quickly come to follow. So I sat down and got to work coming up with an idea that I could whip up in a split considering our early departure meant an even earlier rise. What did I come up with you might ask? A book of tribal tramp stamps. I called it “101 Tribals” and I literally stayed up all night drawing them. At first it was easy considering I had drawn them a billion different ways and was getting a bit automated with it. THEN at about number 58 it slowly took a turn for the worst. I had so much trouble coming up with the last several pages and by the end of the painstaking night, it was slowly becoming morning. I gathered up my front and back cover designs and my stack of hand-drawn tribal tramp stamps and as “back in my day” would have it there was a 24hr FedEx Kinkos on 75 and Lemmon-ish and boy howdy were they in for a treat. I barreled in there asking who was in charge of the book making and “If I throw them a little hundred dollar side bean” would they bust ass and help me ring-bind 25 copies of my fancy tramp stamp book in time for me to catch my flight in a couple of hours. They agreed and we went through it together and I salute those two late night print warriors. By the time we were done it looked like a tattooed-Easter basket blew up in that place. The books and I made it to the show. All the dudes just laughed at me for choosing tribal and I didn’t sell one damn copy.
But we sure had a blast!

Stayed up all night making a private page on the website that could hold all the names and all the information in one place. Finally ready to get back to the drawing board so I can put out some more flash. The winners will be drawn on Wednesday, June 3 and then I will begin to work to get everyone scheduled. I appreciate your patience while I worked through figuring out the best way to get the information out to you and I hope this way is easy enough for us to all follow. It is the first time I have had to give away this big so naturally I will try and learn from this and improve upon it next time

I’m just now sitting down and trying to wrap my head around this social media game and I am realizing I still have a great deal to learn. I’ve been trying to send out the info to everyone from the original 26 tattoo giveaway post in a single neat time efficient message and I keep running into obstacles with the different platforms. Crossing over messages, adding everyone to one group Too many characters in your body of text too many characters in your caption, etc., etc. yada yada yada to say the least it has been my headache! This giveaway is supposed to be fun and exciting not paying staking for anyone to be quite honest. I wasn’t expecting 100 entries either so that’s been a chaotic but pleasant surprise!
