This month, we're celebrating 39 years of David's House Ministries!

Let's take a trip back to 1987...

🎵 Whitney Houston was topping the charts with "I Wanna Dance with Somebody"

⛽ Gas was under $1 a gallon

📺 Shows like P***y Brewster were on TV

And right here in West Michigan, a powerful idea was taking shape:

🏠 That everyone deserves a place to call home.

What began as one home serving 10 residents has grown into a community of nine homes and 66 residents today. Made possible by the support of so many along the way.

We are so grateful for our friends from Ajacs who showed up once again ready to serve.

These four incredible guys got right to work and quickly spread 15 yards of mulch across our property, refreshing our beds and making everything look beautiful and well cared for.

Their willingness to jump in and serve so faithfully makes a lasting difference here at David’s House. We are truly thankful for their hard work, generosity, and continued partnership.

We had such a great time volunteering at Hestóvin Stables Therapeutic Riding Center last week!

Once a month, a group from David’s House heads out to serve at Hestovin Stables. Last week, we helped clean and make the space look its best, spent some time making cards for veterans, and of course - got to hang out with the horses. Brushing them was definitely the highlight!

We’re so thankful for these opportunities to give back and connect with such amazing places in our community. Can’t wait for next month!

We are so thankful for all of our volunteers. Each one brings something special to David’s House, and is a big part of the community we’re building together.

We want to give a special shoutout to Jennifer and Kathy, who have faithfully shown up every Monday to help with our craft hour. They bring creativity, joy, and conversation to every session. They are not only helping hands with our projects, they have also built real friendships with our residents.

Thank you, Jennifer and Kathy, for the time, care, and consistency you bring each week. It means more than you know.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Our residents took time to create cards for veterans as a simple way to express gratitude and say thank you.

We love finding fun ways to kick off the weekend together. One of our favorites is spending the afternoon outside under the tent with a little karaoke. It’s a great way to relax, enjoy the fresh air, and have some fun as a group.

A couple of weeks ago, we were joined by our friends from Ajacs, who volunteered their time and helped serve up some delicious floats. They brought great energy, and it made the afternoon even more special. We even had a brother duet that quickly became the highlight of the day.

Russ' Restaurants Benefit Week is happening now through May 23, and it is the perfect time to support David’s House Ministries while enjoying a great meal.

When you dine at the Grandville or Wyoming Russ’ locations, 20 percent of your bill will be donated to help support the families and residents we serve.

This week during Serve Week, we were blessed by two incredible groups from Jenison Christian School who showed up ready to make a difference.

The first group did not let a cold morning slow them down. They jumped right in moving dirt and preparing areas for grass seed, helping create a more beautiful and welcoming neighborhood for everyone who calls David's House home.

The second group came alongside us with just as much heart. They cleaned our community room and then spent time with residents, helping assemble dog biscuit packs for Beer City Dog Biscuits. They showed up with care, making an impact through their work and their presence.

Because they embraced the opportunity to serve, our space is brighter, our residents felt valued, and our mission moved forward.

We are so thankful for these students and their servant hearts!
