Numbness and tingling don't have to be permanent. 🦶
When this patient first came to us, testing showed 29% sensory loss in the feet and legs. Every step was a reminder that something wasn't right.
Nine months into care, that number is down to 7%. Every area we tested improved, on both sides. Cool sensation and vibration came back the most, which are signs that blood flow is returning and nerves are repairing.
We don't guess at neuropathy. We test it, measure it, and track it every 90 days, so you can see your progress in real numbers.
If you're living with burning, numbness, or balance problems, call (616) 947-4077 to see if you're a candidate for care.

Six months ago, this patient had lost about 76% of the feeling in her feet and lower legs. Walking felt uncertain, and the numbness was creeping up toward her ankles.
Today I re-ran the exact same nerve tests. Her average sensory loss is down to 21%, and the soles of her feet, the part you stand and balance on, are almost fully back.
Neuropathy doesn't have to be a one-way street. If your feet are numb, tingling or burning, call (616) 947-4077 to find out if you're a candidate.

He told me he's sleeping through the night again.
Ninety days ago, the bottom of his right foot tested at 79% sensory loss. A pinwheel drawn lightly across his skin scored a negative number, which means he felt ordinary touch as pain. That is why his feet burned at 2 a.m. and why nothing he tried helped.
Today that same foot tests at 24% loss. The pain response is gone entirely. He sleeps.
Neuropathy is not something you are stuck managing until it takes your balance and your independence. Nerves can repair when you treat what is actually damaging them: inflammation, loss of blood flow to the nerve, and the breakdown of the nerve covering itself.
This is what that commitment looks like in 90 days.
If burning, numbness, or sleepless nights sound familiar, call (616) 947-4077.

Nine months ago, a man came into my office with almost no feeling left in his feet.
I want to be honest about what I told him at that first visit. I did not tell him I could give him his feet back. Our goal was simpler, and at his stage far more important: prevent the neuropathy from getting any worse.
Here is why that mattered. His testing showed 88% sensation loss on the top of his left foot. 90% on the right. 89% and 88% on the bottoms. That is the stage where neuropathy stops being about burning and tingling and starts being about balance, falls, wounds that won’t heal, and the complications nobody wants to talk about.
Simply holding the line would have been a win.
This week I retested him.
Top of left foot: 88% → 70%
Top of right foot: 90% → 78%
Bottom of left foot: 89% → 75%
Bottom of right foot: 88% → 75%
He walked in with roughly 11% of his sensation. He now has roughly 25%. That is more than double the feeling he had nine months ago — and we got there while the goal was only to keep him from sliding backward.
His symptoms have calmed down.
Here is what I want you to take from this. Neuropathy is progressive. It does not stall on its own and it does not reverse on its own. Every month you wait, there is less healthy nerve left to work with.
But less is not none. That is the entire point.
If you have numbness, burning, or tingling in your feet, the first thing to find out is how much nerve function you still have. That number determines everything that comes next.
