West Michigan Clinical Research Center WMCRC is a research center working with Gastroenterology Associates of Western Michigan under direct care of Dr. Allan Coates.

Working with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, WMCRC is bringing new treatment opportunities to the Western Michigan community through clinical research studies. Dr. Allan Coates and Dr. David Tabor have combined experience of over 15 years overseeing clinical research trials. We are conveniently located across from Metro Hospital and will try our best to work with your schedule. All enr

olled patients receive study related procedures and medications at no charge. You do not need insurance to participate and are typically compensated for time and travel. AVALON is testing the investigational drug VTP-1000 for celiac disease. This investigational targeted immunotherapy is designed to prevent or reduce symptoms from accidental gluten exposure by promoting tolerance to gluten.
You may be able to participate if you meet the following requirements:
- 18–70 years old
- Biopsy-confirmed celiac disease
- Have been on a gluten-free diet for 12+ months
- US resident
Additional eligibility criteria apply, and compensation may be available for your time and travel.
