Our Wig Room is more than a collection of wigs—it is a place of comfort, confidence, and support for individuals navigating cancer treatment and recovery.

At Wellness House, we believe healing includes caring for the emotional journey as much as the physical one. Through resources like our Wig Room, we help people feel empowered, supported, and a little more like themselves during difficult seasons of life.

All services at Wellness House are provided free of charge thanks to the generosity of our community. 💛

Hair loss can be one of the most emotional parts of the cancer journey. For many individuals, it impacts confidence, identity, and the way they see themselves.

Our Wig Room who was sponsored by Diana Pastrana was created to provide comfort, dignity, and support during an incredibly difficult time. Wellness House offers wigs and support resources at no cost to individuals navigating treatment and recovery.

Sometimes healing is not just physical — sometimes it is helping someone feel like themselves again.

Beyond grateful for the opportunity to present and be chosen by this amazing group of women that truly care! Thank you 100+ Women Who Care, Yakima County.

What an incredible night it was at 100 Women Who Care Yakima County! We are still reminsicing and excited for July’s meeting!

We had three amazing nonprofits present, and after voting, the other two nonprofits tied in votes and Wellness House was ultimately selected as our Quarter 2 recipient.

We are excited to present Wellness House with a check at our next meeting and are so grateful for all three organizations and the important work they are doing in our community. 💕

Tomorrow is our once a month Womens Cancer Survivorship Support Group, Beyond Survival.

Once treatment ends, we know the effects of cancer do not simply disappear. Healing continues physically, emotionally, and mentally long after treatment is over. This group is designed for those who are further along in their survivorship journey and looking for connection, encouragement, and support with others who truly understand.

Tomorrow we have a fun watercolor activity planned! 🎨

Hello everyone! Casey Smith, here! I am the Program Coordinator and Counselor here at Wellness House Yakima. It has come to my attention that there’s a need for a space specifically for women who have been in remission for many years because their needs often look different than those who are newly diagnosed. With that in mind I want to share something new we’re offering here at Wellness House in the Yakima Valley that I’m really excited about.

It’s called Beyond Survival, and it’s a women’s group for those who are living beyond cancer and trying to figure out what life looks like now. This isn’t your typical sit-and-talk support group, there’s no pressure to share or explain your story unless you want to.
Instead, we focus on community and connection through simple, meaningful activities like floral arranging, gentle movement, tea or coffee time together, creative projects, journaling, and even things like light cooking. It’s really about being in a space with other women who understand, without having to say everything out loud.
If you’ve been looking for something that feels a little easier, a little lighter, and still really supportive, you are welcome here. If you know someone in our Yakima Valley community who could use this, feel free to share.

STARTING ON TUESDAY APRIL 21ST BEYOND SURVIVAL WILL MEET ON THE 3RD TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH FROM 1:00-2:30, HAS THE POTENTIAL TO MEET MORE OFTEN DEPENDING ON GROUP NEEDS. Please call 509-575-6686 to reserve your spot as space for this group will be limited.
