Spring is my favorite season. I love seeing all the plants emerge and finding new ones. Dandelions are blooming and the Valerian won't be waiting much longer to bloom. I found violas I planted last year blooming before I could even transplant this year's seedlings. I love finding all the new volunteers that come up where ever they please. This one small spot has Mullein, Plantain, Yarrow, Spearmint and Evening Primrose. What a treasure!

I had my first harvest of Mullein leaves today. Last year I planted some Greek Mullein in addition to the local Mullein that comes up volunteer.. The Greek Mullein has thicker leaves and is supposed to produce all it's flowers at once, instead of in waves like local Mullein does. So far I'm very happy with the growth. Nice thick large leaves! Since Mullein is a biennial it should set flowers this year. You can be sure I'll be letting a few flower stalks go to seed.

Herb Fest this Saturday, April 18! Here's a project I've been working on lately. Crystal grids are a great way to call in the power of crystals, but it may seem intimidating getting started. I've put together Crystal Grid Sets to make the process much easier. Each kit includes a Seed of Life crystal grid, six bags of crystals with six crystals per bag, a clear quartz center stone, a clear quartz wand and an instructions scroll. Crystals incliued in this kit are Clear Quartz, Amethyst, Lepidolite, Tiger Eye, Prehinite and Black Tourmaline. I've also put together some 6 pack sets of extra crystals that will work well with this grid set. I have 4 of these available for Herb Fest.

I've made some crystal duo sets especially for Herb Fest. I only have one of each at this time, but if they do well I'll make more. I've been playing with the idea of having a website again. I think these would make a nice addition. There is Celestial (Moonstone and Sunstone), New Beginnings (Labradorite and Clear Quartz), Astral (Lapis Lazuli and Clear Quartz) and Abundance (Citrine and Nephrite Jade). These sets can be used for crystal grids, layouts, gem water and more.

6 days till Herb Fest! I am sooo looking forward to being back again. I'll be bringing some one ounce bags of herbs. I have Spearmint, a Mint Mix, Catnip, Wild Lettuce and Mullein. All these are either grown organically or wildcrafted on our organically sustained land. I also have one ounce bags of Wild Sunflower petals. If time permits this week I may get the chance to bag up some more.

This season's seeds are planted and growing! I tell myself every year I won't start as many seedlings as the year before.. Of course I never listen! I just don't see anything wrong with having more of the following plants. This year I have an entire flat of Echinacea purpurea, an entire flat of Lavender (2 types), California poppies, Winter Thyme, Orange Thyme, Horehound, White Sage, Garden Sage, Bee Balm mixes, Lemon Balm (of course), Lobelia, Catnip, Toothache plant (Spilanthes), Elampagne, Mugwort, Oregano, Stinging Nettles, an entire flat of Violas, 2 kinds of Parsley, Mulleins, Basils, Gogi berry, Luffas, and the usual lettuces, greens, peppers and tomatoes.. I even found Patchouli seeds! I couldn't pass up trying to grow that! I'm hoping to find elderberry plants at Herb Fest! My favorite time of year!
