Menopause doesn't begin with your last period.
For many women, the body has been changing for years before that final pause arrives.
I call perimenopause a series of pauses—little hiccups in the body's engine as it prepares for its final exit from the matrix of fertility.
You may notice changes in sleep, energy, mood, weight, hair, skin, libido and even your perception of Self.
And yet women are often sent from one place to another to address each symptom separately.
I believe we need to connect the dots.
Beauty is often only the tip of the iceberg. The changes you see in the mirror may coexist with hormonal, metabolic, nutritional and physiological changes occurring underneath.
That's why when a woman comes to see me, I don't want to look only at her wrinkles, weight, hormones or hair.
I want to understand what changed, why it changed, and what we can intelligently do about it.
Menopause may be the final reproductive pause, but it doesn't have to become your pause from beauty, vitality, sexuality, confidence or purpose.
Your period may pause. You don't have to.
If you're navigating this transition and want a more comprehensive approach to aging, I invite you to schedule a private consultation with me at Juvanni Med Spa in Yonkers, New York.
Lots of love,
