So many people are walking around longing for connection while unconsciously protecting themselves from it at the same time.
Our defenses can look and sound like anger, withdrawal, jealousy, criticism, control, or even over-giving and people pleasing
But underneath most defenses is simply a heart trying to feel safe, seen, and loved again.
When you choose to cut off love from others, you are cutting off the flow of Divine love to yourself - most people don’t even realize ( some do ) they are walking around with so many protective defenses and how it is hurting their lives, their decisions and relationships

I offer open heart space in my work and in my relationships - allowing myself and others to grow in grace and love - and yes I get triggered but give myself compassion as I heal and grow

Perfect love drives out fear and heals your own heart

Supporting your mind, body and faith!

I’m continually fascinated by the ways emerging science seems to echo principles many have cherished for generations — rest, gratitude, connection, compassion, joy, forgiveness, caring for the body, and the healing power of the love of God.

Research in fields like neuroscience and epigenetics continues to explore how our experiences, relationships, emotions, environment, and stress patterns can influence the nervous system, immune function, resilience, and overall wellbeing.
Our bodies are deeply responsive to the environments we live in… both around us and within us.

When we’ve spent long periods in stress, survival mode, overwhelm, or disconnection, the body often carries those experiences in quiet but meaningful ways.
And yet… the body also has an incredible capacity to respond to new experiences of safety, presence, nurturing support, and connection.

This is what inspires my somatic work.
Through compassionate touch, nervous system awareness, and a gentle, supportive approach, I create space for the body to slow down, soften, and begin receiving different signals.

Signals of safety.
Signals of care.
Signals that may support greater regulation, reconnection, and a deeper sense of being at home within yourself.

For those who appreciate both faith and science, I find beauty in the conversation between them — the possibility that some of the practices that nourish us spiritually may also be deeply supportive to our human biology.

What if healing wasn’t only about fixing symptoms… but about sending your body new signals?

Emerging science in epigenetics shows us that our environment, experiences, emotions, and relationships can influence how genes express themselves — affecting inflammation, immunity, stress response, resilience, and overall wellbeing.
Your body is always listening.
Every experience of safety, connection, nurturing touch, play, presence, and authentic expression communicates information to your nervous system… and your nervous system communicates with the brain, the body, and even the cellular environment.
Through my somatic massage work, I help create a compassionate space where your body can begin receiving different messages.
Messages of safety.
Messages of support.
Messages that invite softening, reconnection, regulation, and aliveness.
Because when the body experiences something new, it can begin to respond in new ways.

Are you mindful in the moment

I met a bride for the first time on her wedding day. She was a few hours away from getting married. She was getting her hair done with her girls. She stated how she was up late last night finishing the floral arrangements and how she just wanted this day to be over with I asked her if she felt this way because she was nervous about the ceremony. Her reply was no-I’m just done with it, I can’t wait for it to be over - all the stress from planning had gotten the best of her. I thought how often I was distracted about desired outcomes and stressed and occupied about minor details ( that seem really big at the time ) and missed the beauty of the people and the moment

As I went to prepare the massage room for the day, I thought I couldn’t imagine being a bride and not looking forward to my day- all the prep and not even looking forward to the celebration of her marriage. I then planned on giving her a wedding gift-touch, compassion and a regulated nervous system! She gladly accepted my offer of a hand massage while she was getting her hair done. She slowly started to unwind. I asked her questions about her beloved. She smiled- the girls chimed in about how great he was for her- more softening and smiling. I shared a quick funny and almost embarrassing memory I had as the mother of the groom. We laughed. I asked her to imagine herself at her ceremony and reception and what it would look like to her - then her whole face brightened and her tension disappeared. The stylist added the finishing touches and she was radiant and relaxed. I reminded her to stay in the moment and hoped she enjoyed every blessed moment of her special day- even the imperfect ones. We hugged - she expressed her gratitude - the unwinding of her nervous system and her excitement for her wedding day was my payment. I never saw her again but I smile when I image the day she had!

Mindfulness matters - we will never get another moment like this !
