After a difficult season that brought unexpected housing changes, Jessica & Friends Community staff member Sarah Blevins opened her heart and farmhouse home to coworker Jessica Morgan. What began as a simple act of kindness soon became something much greater.
Only weeks after Jessica moved in, tragedy struck when a devastating overnight fire destroyed the beloved family farmhouse in Stewartstown and claimed the lives of cherished pets. Suddenly, both women were facing heartbreak, loss, and uncertainty.
But in the midst of it all, Jessica & Friends Staff rallied around Jessica and Sarah with overwhelming compassion. Through prayers, encouragement, financial gifts, gift cards, and countless acts of kindness, staff came together to support them during one of the hardest moments of their lives. We are deeply grateful to all of the staff who stepped in so quickly and generously to care for them in their time of need.
Their response was a beautiful reminder of what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ — showing up for one another with love, generosity, and hope. In a time filled with loss, Jessica and Sarah were surrounded by a community that truly cared.
As Jessica continues her search for a new place to call home, both women remain deeply grateful for the love and support they have received along the way.
Even in the darkest moments, God’s light shines through His people.
