Can yoga actually help reverse osteoporosis… or is that just a myth?
Most yoga won’t.
👇
But a specific, clinically-informed approach can support real change.
That’s exactly what I teach inside Strong Bones for Life —
a structured, self-paced program based on Dr. Loren Fishman’s method.
This is not a general yoga class.
It’s a clear system designed to help you:
✔️ prevent bone loss
✔️ stop progression
✔️ and support rebuilding strength
✔️ beginner-friendly (even if you’ve never done yoga)
✔️ safe, guided, step-by-step
✔️ practice at your own pace
🌿 Spring offer (3 days only):
$150 (instead of $349)
Code: SPRINGSTRONG26
If you’ve been thinking about your bones… don’t ignore it.

Almost a year ago, during a small bone-health retreat I led in the Bahamas, one participant shared something that stayed with me.
A few months earlier, she had been diagnosed with osteoporosis. The diagnosis confused and frightened her so much that she stopped doing almost all of the physical activities she had enjoyed before.
She told me she could feel herself getting weaker, but she was afraid that moving might hurt her.
Over the past year, I realized that her story is not unique.
Many women who join my Yoga for Bone Health courses or come for private yoga therapy sessions share the same experience. After a diagnosis, they often feel unsure about which movements are safe and which might be harmful.
And the fear is understandable. Certain movements should be avoided to protect fragile bones.
But movement itself is not the enemy.
With the right knowledge and modifications, many people can continue participating in activities that bring them joy.
Because this question comes up so often, I wrote a blog post about it:
Can You Attend a Regular Yoga Class with Osteoporosis?
You can read it here:

Can you attend a regular yoga class with osteoporosis? Learn which movements to avoid, how to modify poses, and how to continue practicing safely.

The New Year often brings fresh motivation to move more. Yoga classes fill up, gyms get busy, and many people return to exercise with the best intentions. Staying active is important, but so is understanding which movements truly support your body. This is especially relevant for women in midlife, even if osteoporosis has never been diagnosed. In my newest blog post, I explore how yoga can both harm and help when spinal osteoporosis is involved.

Keep recording my Yoga for Bone Health course — standing postures ✅ done, 15 videos in the bag — when I realized… the sound in every single one was super low.
Why? Because I didn’t want my mic to be visible, so I cleverly clipped it to the back of my tank top. Not my brightest idea.

Cue a mini panic attack thinking I’d have to re-record everything (which wouldn’t be the worst thing, but still…). I went down the rabbit hole of fixes: GarageBand (pain in the neck), Audacity (another pain in the neck)… and then I discovered Adobe Enhance Speech. Total game changer!

After some editing magic, the sound is crisp, the videos are saved, and today I started recording the floor postures. I’m rolling!
