I’ve always believed that something greater is at work in my life each day. With every season that passes, I’m reminded that surrender allows us to move more gracefully from one experience, challenge, and transition to the next.

Some of life’s most difficult moments come when we resist change. Yet when we practice acceptance, trust the process, and believe that something bigger than ourselves is helping to guide our path, we can begin to find peace.

Spending quiet moments with ourselves offers a clarity that is often difficult to find in the noise of the world. Through meditation and yoga, we reconnect with who we are, discover the places where we need to let go, release our resistance to change, and open ourselves to the peace, growth, and joy waiting on the other side.

Sometimes surrender isn’t giving up, it’s trusting enough to let life unfold.

I learned a new word in my studies this morning: lagom which is a Swedish word that means not too little, not too much… just the right amount.

It deeply resonated with me.

We spend so much of our lives hurrying from one thing to the next that we forget to pause and simply soak it all in. Lagom reminds me that balance matters, rest is necessary, and there should be no guilt or shame in taking those precious moments for ourselves.

Maybe the sweet spot in life isn’t doing more. Maybe it’s finding enough.

I continue to soak up all the learning I can so I can be the best yoga guide possible. I always approach it from the perspective of how I can help others get the most out of their practice.

But what I keep discovering is that every time I learn something new, it benefits my own practice too. I continue to pick up tools that help me navigate daily stress, challenges, and the ups and downs of life. I’m learning how to better regulate my body and nervous system, and how powerful it can be to simply slow down and pay attention.

I’m also reminded that even some of the smaller traumas and experiences we carry can live in our bodies, creating tension, stress, and anxiety without us even realizing it. Through movement, breath, and turning inward, we can begin to release some of what we’ve been carrying.

It’s a reminder that if we don’t take care of ourselves, we’re limited in how well we can care for others. It’s really that simple.

So while I’m soaking up all this knowledge to become a better instructor, I’m also giving myself exactly what I need along the way. And that’s a pretty good lesson in itself.

Enjoying some continuing education in the world of yoga—this time diving into Yin.

Yin yoga is a slow, grounded practice where poses are held longer, allowing the body to gently open and release. What I’m really appreciating is what it does for the body—it helps improve flexibility and joint mobility, supports our connective tissues, and gives the nervous system a chance to truly reset. It’s the kind of practice that balances out all the doing with a little more being… and we need that.

I’m really looking forward to continuing to learn and, eventually, teaching a Yin class of my own. I can already feel how powerful this practice is, and I’d love to create that space for others too.

I’ve been connecting with some amazing local community partners and friends who are opening their spaces for classes—and I’m so excited about what’s taking shape. I just love this community and the power of connection.

I’ll be starting in May. And if I can say, I’m a little bit nervous. 😬

I’ll be sharing days, times, and locations soon, but for now I just want to say thank you. The encouragement, the support, and the people who’ve already said “I’m in”—it means more than I can put into words.

I’ll be starting slow as I find a rhythm and balance a full plate, but this is something I’m really committed to—because staying rooted in my own health and well-being matters. And I’m so looking forward to sharing that space with others.

This is about creating something welcoming, real, and accessible for everybody… and I can’t wait to practice with you.

Stay tuned…❤️❤️🧘
