Yoga doesn’t have to be strenuous to make a difference. 🌿

Research suggests that just one 45-minute restorative yoga practice each week can support greater well-being, relaxation, and clearer thinking.

Come experience the benefits of slowing down.

What a beautiful morning of yoga and community. 🌿

I’m so grateful to have partnered with Fit Body Boot Camp and their members for this special gathering. More than 30 people joined us on the mat, and one of the things I love most about offering free community yoga is knowing that for some, this may be their very first experience with the practice.

My hope with Naturally Rooted Yoga is to create spaces where yoga feels welcoming and accessible. You don’t need experience or the perfect gear — you can simply show up as you are and give it a try.

Yoga is for everybody, and I’m so grateful to share it.

Tonight was about taking time out of our busy lives to turn inward—to meet ourselves again, perhaps in a new way. A little gentler. A little kinder. Offering ourselves the same grace and compassion we so freely give to others.

There is something powerful about simply showing up for yourself. Choosing to slow down, breathe, soften, and care for yourself is such a beautiful act of self-love.

It was wonderful to spend the evening in a room full of women who believe in taking care of themselves and practicing gentleness and kindness toward themselves and one another. I’m so grateful for the time we shared.

I’m already looking forward to meeting ourselves again in September. 🌿

Chair yoga with the Early Risers Kiwanis crew this morning—and what a fun way to start the day! 🧘‍♀️☀️

A little stretching, a little breathing, a lot of laughing… and proof that yoga really can be for every body.

You don’t need a mat, fancy poses, or an hour to spare. Just 5–10 minutes a day of intentional movement and stretching can make a difference in how you feel.

Grab a chair. Take a breath. Move a little. Your body will thank you.

Sometimes the reset we need doesn’t happen in a yoga pose.

This weekend on my first solo camping trip to the lake well… not totally solo, because I had my trusty canine sidekick Maisie 🐾, I was reminded that finding quiet and stillness doesn’t always have to happen on the mat.

Sitting by the water, I noticed how hard it can be to just sit—to quiet the noise, put the phone down, listen to my breath, feel my body, and simply be.

Maisie, in her steady way, reminded me that stillness can be simple—just being present together in nature.

And yet, my yoga practice is what helps me get here. It builds resilience, strength, and awareness, allowing me to stay longer in silence and actually receive those quiet moments.

Sometimes it’s a yoga mat. Sometimes it’s a chair by the lake with your dog at your side. Wherever you find that quiet space, settle in. Give yourself a few minutes to simply be and breathe.

In yoga, the breath leads and the body follows.

When we slow the breath, we send a message to the nervous system that it’s okay to soften, settle, and reset.

The breath becomes our rhythm—bringing body and mind back into harmony.

Sometimes the most powerful part of the practice is simply breathing. 🧘

Our very first Rest & Restore yoga class was everything I had hoped it would be. 💜

One participant described it as “one big slumber party with a bunch of girlfriends—all comfortable, and completely at peace.” That made my heart so happy because that’s exactly the space I hope to create.

Next Wednesday, we’ll gather again. This week’s theme is Being Held—a gentle reminder that we don’t always have to hold everything together. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves is permission to soften, let go, and allow ourselves to be supported.

If your body is tired, your mind is busy, or your heart simply needs a little rest, we’d love to have you join us.
