Today at approximately 10:32 a.m., Rural Metro Fire responded to a report of a residential fire in the area of S Ironwood Dr and E 54th St. Upon arrival, crews found a single-story, single-family dwelling fully involved with exposures. Crews deployed hose lines and began extinguishing the fire. Crews were able to contain the fire to the house of origin. One patient was transported to Onvida Foothills for minor burns. No other injuries were reported. The American Red Cross was contacted. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
