Ironically, this cake wasnโ€™t for my birthday yesterday ๐Ÿคฃโ€”it was a custom order for someone elseโ€™s! But wow, did I have fun making it.

๐ŸŽ‚ Red Velvet Sourdough Cake with BLACK Chocolate Buttercream Frosting โ€” and the best part? Sheโ€™s completely dye-free!

I ran out of plant-based red dye, so the inside turned out more of a soft pinkโ€ฆ but honestly, I love it ๐Ÿ˜…

Hands down, this is the prettiest cake Iโ€™ve ever made. The photos donโ€™t even do her justice ๐Ÿ˜

First time attempting black buttercream, and it was a total success โœ…โ€”rich, smooth, and absolutely delicious.
