The world lost an amazing guitar player and all around awesome guy on this day 17 years ago. He was truly one of a kind! You can still see Dimebag Darrell's influence on guitar players all over the world. Thank you all for keeping his memory alive! RIP Jeffrey "Mayhem" Thompson, Erin Halk & Nathan Bray who also gave their lives to help save Dime.

Bay Area thrashers, METALLICA, are getting ready to take over the city of San Francisco. The band says: "We're just one short month away from celebrating 40 years together, and we can’t wait to welcome fans from around the world to our hometown! When we first told you about the two shows at Chase Center on December 17 and 19, we also promised a full weekend of 'Tallica family vibes with curated live music, Blackened Whiskey tastings, and other events starting the night before the first show."

"Start The Healing", the latest new single from KOЯN is out. The song comes from the band's upcoming 14th full length album, Requiem, which will officially land in stores on February 4, 2022.

AMORPHIS announced the release of their next studio album, Halo, on February 11th, 2022.

"It really is a great feeling that we can still produce very decent music as a band," says Esa Holopainen. "Perhaps a certain kind of self-criticism and long experience culminate in these latest albums." To the songwriter himself, Halo sounds both familiar and different. "It is thoroughly recognizable Amorphis from beginning to end but the general atmosphere is a little bit heavier and more progressive and also organic compared to its predecessor," he elaborates.

Vocalist Tomi Joutsen adds: "To me, ‘Halo’ sounds a little more stripped down compared to Queen Of Time and Under The Red Cloud. However, don’t get me wrong: when a certain song needs to sound big, then it sounds very big."

BE'LAKOR put out new single and music video of their new album.

Be'lakor about "Valence": "Valence" is a song which brings together elements of all our previous albums - perhaps especially the sounds and moods of Stone's Reach and Of Breath And Bone - and then combines them with some of our newer ideas. The studio footage, filmed in Melbourne by Oli Sansom, was captured in the tracking and recording spaces where Coherence was created - and so it's is a fitting song to accompany the release of the album. Enjoy!"

Swedish gothic doom icons DRACONIAN will release the re-issues of Where Lovers Mourn (2003) and Arcane Rain Fell (2005), on vinyl on December 17, 2021.

Anders Jacobsson and Johan Ericsson comment: "Our debut album Where Lovers Mourn shows a broad variety of influences, from doom to folk music, all with the gothic vibe that followed us from our first demo. It mostly consisted of reworked material from our demo, Dark Oceans We Cry, released the year prior. You can hear still hear traces of this era in our most recent works.

"With Arcane Rain Fell we cemented our sound and took a big step with our song writing. It’s very dear to us and our fans, still to this day. Lyrically it was a continuation of the Luciferian influence starting with our 1999 demo A Closed Eyes Of Paradise."
