If you’re in labor and you’re thinking, “I just want to meet my baby already,” I get it. 😅

But sometimes, waiting to push can actually be one of the hardest but most beneficial parts.

When your body is already working hard and you feel that overwhelming urge to push, it can be tempting to start pushing before your body is fully ready. The problem? Pushing too early can be incredibly exhausting.

Instead of fighting your body or forcing it to do something it isn’t ready for, sometimes the most helpful thing you can do is breathe, change positions, rest when you can, and let baby continue to descend.

That doesn’t mean that pushing early is always “wrong.” Every birth is different. It simply means there can be tremendous value in letting your body and baby work together rather than rushing the process. 🤍

Your doula is there to help you through those “I literally cannot do this anymore” moments. Because sometimes, the hardest part is trusting that your body is still doing exactly what it needs to do. ✨
