Where do YOU find hope? Please tell me in the comments or DMs, I’m sincerely want to hear from YOU!
Lately, I find myself thinking a lot about hope. I used to find it in nature, and still do to some degree, but now I’m more often reminded of our climate crisis, how severely we have polluted the natural world, and all the barriers to fixing these problems that we face.
What was once a place of solace and hope, albeit perhaps out of blissful ignorance, has shifted into something more stoic and maybe even a little austere.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d still rather be out in the ocean or the woods than pretty much anywhere else. But with so many wars raging, genocides prevailing, capitalist pollution ever dominating, and chronic diseases flaring, I’m struggling to see a future anywhere that gives me hope.
So tell me, where do YOU find hope?
My truth is religion doesn’t cut it. Take a close look at history, and it’s clear we are in this situation because of religious beliefs that have turned into political action. If you are religious I mean no offense, I merely am saying that for me, faith is no longer enough to give me hope in our current circumstances.
