The “WHO operational handbook on tuberculosis. Module 3: diagnosis” provides implementation guidance on the detection of TB infection, disease, and drug resistance within a single reference document. It also provides updates to the diagnostic algorithms, in view of new recommendations on concurrent testing of respiratory and non-respiratory samples among adults and adolescents with HIV, children with HIV, and children without HIV or with unknown HIV status. Finally, it summarizes updates on the diagnostic accuracy of the WHO-recommended technologies, in view of the WHO TB Diagnostic guidelines updates, as well as analysis of discordant results.

Each year, an estimated 200 000 pregnant or postpartum women develop TB, yet they remain largely invisible in research and clinical trials. This exclusion leaves critical gaps in evidence, delaying access to life-saving treatment and vaccines for these populations.

Lớp tập huấn "Hướng dẫn phát hiện và điều trị Lao tiềm ẩn" lần thứ 2

Tekmax hân hạnh là đơn vị tài trợ đồng hành cùng bệnh viện Phổi Trung Ương trong khóa tập huấn lần 2 về “Hướng dẫn phát hiện và điều trị lao tiềm ẩn” diễn ra trong 03 ngày từ 31/10 – 2/11/2023, với sự tham gia của gần 200 học viên là nhân viên y tế đang công tác trong lĩnh vực xét nghiệm và điều trị.

Việt Nam là nước đứng thứ 11 trong 30 nước trên thế giới có gánh nặng lao cao và lao kháng, và có khoản 170.000 ca mắc mới mỗi năm. Lao tiềm ẩn không có biểu hiện và triệu chứng lâm sàng, không lây nhưng có nguy cơ phát triển thành lao hoạt động, và âm thầm trở thành nguồn lây trong tương lai. Các bệnh nhân suy giảm miễn dịch, bệnh nhân sử dụng thuốc ức chế miễn dịch, bệnh nhân ghép tạng, bệnh nhân đái tháo đường, bệnh nhân suy thận và bệnh nhân chạy thận nhân tạo......có nguy cơ chuyển từ lao tiềm ẩn sang lao hoạt động cao hơn người bình thường. Chính vì thế, ngoài những người tiếp xúc gần với lao hoạt động, các nhóm nguy cơ này đã được khuyến cáo: tầm soát và điều trị lao tiềm ẩn.

Cuối khóa tập huấn, các học viên tham dự đáp ứng đủ điều kiện và có điểm đầu ra đạt yêu cầu được cấp chứng chỉ tham dự đào tạo liên tục theo quy định của Bộ y tế.
