There are places we call home, not because we grew up there, but because they have always carried the roots of where we come from.
Born and raised in the US, this was only her second time returning to Vietnam. But this trip meant something very different. It was her first time coming back with her mother, 27 years after her mother last set foot in her homeland.
A tattoo of a Vietnamese woman became her way of preserving this memory, while carrying with her a piece of the roots and heritage she belongs to.
And how meaningful it is that this tattoo was created on September 2nd - Vietnamโ€™s National Day. โค

The most beautiful thing about KIMETSU NO YAIBA is that amidst all the fierce battles,
there are still stories of love and loss.
Especially the story between Hakuji and Koyuki. A love that was short-lived, but deep enough to stay in my memory forever.
From there, this tattoo was inspired by selected moments from Akaza (Hakuji) & Koyuki. Bringing their story to life in a deeply personal way. Because sometimes, the stories and images we love remain in our hearts, even after the screen has faded to black.
