🌊🌊🌊CÀ MAU: MCD HỖ TRỢ CHIA SẺ THÔNG TIN, KIẾN THỨC VÀ BÀI HỌC KINH NGHIỆM VỀ ÁP DỤNG CÁC CÔNG CỤ BẢO TỒN BIỂN TRONG BẢO TỒN ĐA DẠNG SINH HỌC, BẢO VỆ NGUỒN LỢI THỦY SẢN

🌿🌿Ngày 26/6/2026, tại xã Đá Bạc, tỉnh Cà Mau, Trung tâm Bảo tồn Sinh vật Biển và Phát triển Cộng đồng (MCD) phối hợp với Chi cục Biển Hải đảo và Kiểm ngư Cà Mau, Chi cục Thủy sản Cà Mau và UBND xã Đá Bạc tổ chức hoạt động cung cấp thông tin, chia sẻ bài học kinh nghiệm và cải thiện thực hành về áp dụng các công cụ bảo tồn biển trong bảo tồn đa dạng sinh học, bảo vệ nguồn lợi thủy sản.
🌾🌾Hoạt động nằm trong khuôn khổ hợp tác giữa MCD và Cà Mau về hỗ trợ kỹ thuật nhằm thúc đẩy áp dụng đồng quản lý và bảo tồn biển, góp phần tăng cường hiệu quả bảo vệ nguồn lợi thủy sản và phát triển thủy sản bền vững tại Việt Nam và khu vực. Tại Cà Mau, hoạt động có ý nghĩa thiết thực trong bối cảnh địa phương đang triển khai thực hiện Khu bảo tồn biển Cà Mau và mô hình đồng quản lý trong bảo vệ nguồn lợi thủy sản tại xã Đá Bạc, đồng thời thúc đẩy sự tham gia của các bên liên quan và cộng đồng ven biển trong bảo tồn các hệ sinh thái biển và phát triển sinh kế bền vững.
🌻🌻Hoạt động này có sự tham gia của trên 50 đại biểu là đại diện các cơ quan quản lý, chính quyền địa phương, bộ đội biên phòng, báo chí, tổ chức xã hội, hợp tác xã, doanh nghiệp, các chuyên gia kỹ thuật và đại diện cộng đồng dân cư khu vực xung quanh Khu bảo tồn biển Cà Mau và khu đồng quản lý xã Đá Bạc.
💥💥Trong chương trình, các đại biểu đã được cập nhật tổng quan về định hướng và mục tiêu công tác bảo tồn biển tại Việt Nam; đồng thời được chia sẻ các thông tin, kiến thức, bài học kinh nghiệm và thực hành tốt về áp dụng các công cụ bảo tồn biển trong bảo tồn đa dạng sinh học và bảo vệ nguồn lợi thủy sản. Các nhóm công cụ được giới thiệu bao gồm công cụ chính sách pháp luật, công cụ mô thức quản lý (khu bảo tồn biển, khu bảo vệ nguồn lợi thủy sản, phương thức đồng quản lý, khu vực phục hồi sinh thái, khu cư trú nhân tạo cho các loài thủy sản, khu vực cấm khai thác có thời hạn), công cụ kỹ thuật (quan trắc và báo cáo, khoa học công dân trong giám sát diễn biến hệ sinh thái và nguồn lợi thủy sản, quy hoạch không gian biển, phân vùng sử dụng biển) và các công cụ khác.
🍃🍃Hoạt động hỗ trợ kỹ thuật góp phần tạo nên sự trao đổi cởi mở giữa cơ quan quản lý, chuyên gia, chính quyền địa phương, các tổ chức xã hội và cộng đồng, qua đó nâng cao năng lực, củng cố sự phối hợp đa bên và thúc đẩy các thực hành bảo tồn biển hiệu quả tại địa phương. MCD tự hào khi đồng hành cùng Cà Mau trong quá trình quản lý khu bảo tồn biển, thực hiện đồng quản lý trong bảo vệ nguồn lợi thủy sản và phát triển các mô hình sinh kế bền vững, đóng góp vào mục tiêu bảo tồn đa dạng sinh học biển và phát triển kinh tế biển xanh tại Việt Nam.

🌊🌊🌊CA MAU: MCD SUPPORTS THE SHARING OF INFORMATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND LESSONS LEARNED ON THE APPLICATION OF MARINE CONSERVATION TOOLS FOR BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION AND FISHERIES RESOURCE PROTECTION
🌿🌿On June 26th, 2026, in Da Bac Commune, Ca Mau Province, the Centre for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD) in coordination with the Ca Mau Sub-Department of Sea, Island and Fisheries Surveillance, the Ca Mau Sub-Department of Fisheries, and the People’s Committee of Da Bac Commune, organized an activity to provide information, share lessons learned, and improve practices in applying marine conservation tools for biodiversity conservation and fisheries resource protection.
🌾🌾The activity was conducted within the framework of cooperation between MCD and Ca Mau on technical support to promote the application of co-management and marine conservation, contributing to strengthening the effectiveness of fisheries resource protection and sustainable fisheries development in Viet Nam and the region. In Ca Mau, the activity was particularly meaningful as the locality is implementing the Ca Mau Marine Protected Area and the co-management model for fisheries resource protection in Da Bac Commune, while also promoting the participation of stakeholders and coastal communities in conserving marine ecosystems and developing sustainable livelihoods.
🌻🌻The activity was attended by more than 50 delegates, including representatives from management agencies, local authorities, border guard forces, the press, social organizations, cooperatives, enterprises, technical experts, and representatives of communities living around the Ca Mau Marine Protected Area and the Da Bac co-management area.
💥💥During the program, delegates were updated on the overall orientation and objectives of marine conservation in Viet Nam. They were also provided with information, knowledge, lessons learned, and good practices in applying marine conservation tools for biodiversity conservation and fisheries resource protection. The groups of tools introduced included legal and policy tools; management model tools, such as marine protected areas, fisheries resource protection zones, co-management approaches, ecological restoration areas, artificial habitats for aquatic species, and seasonal fishing closure areas; technical tools, such as monitoring and reporting, citizen science in monitoring ecosystems and fisheries resource changes, marine spatial planning, and marine use zoning; as well as other tools.
🍃🍃This technical support activity helped create an open exchange among management agencies, experts, local authorities, social organizations, and communities. It also contributed to enhancing capacity, strengthening multi-stakeholder coordination, and promoting effective marine conservation practices at the local level. MCD is proud to accompany Ca Mau in the process of managing the marine protected area, implementing co-management in fisheries resource protection, and developing sustainable livelihood models, contributing to the goals of marine biodiversity conservation and blue economy development in Viet Nam.
