Structural components:
Male reproductive cells consist of a head (carrying genetic material – DNA), a midpiece (providing energy), and a tail (enabling movement).
The female reproductive cell is one of the largest cells in the human body, containing a full genetic set along with nutrients to support the early development of the embryo.
Causes of infertility:
Male factors: low count or poor quality of reproductive cells, weak motility, abnormal morphology, or hormonal disorders.
Female factors: ovulation disorders (such as PCOS or ovarian insufficiency), blocked fallopian tubes, uterine abnormalities, or poor egg quality.
General factors: age, stress, unhealthy lifestyle habits (smoking, alcohol consumption, lack of exercise, obesity) that negatively affect reproductive health in both men and women.
