Urban Village is a Tattoo Studio specialising in contemporary Samoan Tattoos.

Considered the pioneer in fusing contemporary layouts with Samoan Motifs and introduced the conceptof sectioning and using malu motifs in contemporary design, set apart from the more popular Samoan Sleeve which covers the entire canvass of the arm to using the sectioning method and space

fs from the Malu and the stronger motifs of the Traditional Samoan Tatau with the land and see and sky contemporary pieces. A lot of the pieces that come out of urban village are usually never done anywhere else and is known for their pioneering designs by local artists
who have the knowledge of the Samoan motifs and its uses and the culture. Urban Village do not do the Traditional Malu or Pe'a with the machine as it is considered sacred and should be only done with the traditional method to keep its integrity and traditions here in Samoa but we can recommend you to a Master Tattoist for this type of work.

Unfortunately, we have closed permanently in Samoa since October 2025, due to medical reasons and have relocated to NZ.
