We are pleased to announce that “A Feeling Called Lebanon”, a book written by our team member Dr. Layla Youssef Itani, was launched today, June 13, at the Lebanon National Museum.

Set against a time of uncertainty, and in light of what Lebanon has lost, this work shifts the focus toward what Lebanon can still give. It reflects a message of resilience and the strength to move forward, something clearly embodied in Layla’s vision.

This meaningful book offers experiences that support children’s emotional, social, and intellectual development. It preserves memory, inspires curiosity, strengthens identity, and encourages children to discover beauty, history, and belonging in the world around them.

In his remarks, Dr. George Mufarrij highlighted the broader significance of supporting initiatives such as this:

“When we support people like Layla, we are investing in ideas. We are investing in culture. We are investing in the next generation. And most importantly, we are investing in the belief that Lebanon’s greatest strength continues to be its people.”

That act of creation is, in itself, an act of hope.

May this book inspire children to discover Lebanon through wonder, and adults to rediscover it through memory.

May it remind all of us that Lebanese minds have no limits to what they can create.
