From Awareness to Action — A Moment That Made Us Proud
Last night was a truly special and emotional moment for me.
As one of the leads of the Women’s Health Rehabilitation (WHR) Initiative, alongside Dr Saman Gul PT, I had the honour of representing our work at KPPTA Revival 2026.
What made this moment even more meaningful was realizing how far our efforts have come.
What once started as an idea, discussions, research, awareness sessions, and countless efforts to highlight women’s health is now reaching a wider audience. Seeing our initiative being presented at such a platform gave me a deep sense of happiness and satisfaction.
Our focus has always been clear: to create greater awareness about women’s health, particularly dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain), and to promote the role of physiotherapy in its prevention and management.
It is not simply about talking about menstrual pain. It is about helping women understand their bodies, recognize that their pain deserves attention, and know that physiotherapy and rehabilitation can be part of their care.
Being able to introduce our initiative to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, and to stand among healthcare professionals and leaders sharing their knowledge and experiences was a moment I will remember for a long time.
I am especially grateful to everyone who has contributed to this journey. A project like this never becomes successful because of one or two people. It grows because of a team that believes in the purpose and continues working even when the results are not immediately visible.
A special appreciation to Dr Saman Gul PT, my co-lead, for being part of this journey from the beginning, and to all our active members who continue to contribute their time, ideas, and efforts.
Last night reminded me of something very important:
When you continue working for a meaningful cause, even small efforts can eventually become something much bigger.
