When you 'ask for a sign' be open to receive it. It may come to you from unexpected places.

This was the message on my coffee cup the morning of my birthday. These are the 3 words repeated to me constantly by my father growing up. Believe. Believe in yourself. Believe in possibility.

Everyone I know - literally everyone - is experiencing some form of nervous system overload, stress or disruption. I know it's tough to see or hear insights from others, or even know what to do next when you're chronically dis-regulated.
I get it.

I also know there's a gentle yoga therapy class - taught by a very well educated and heart-centered teacher with tons of experience - happening every Thursday night at 7pm in Fonthill. A class specifically designed to support the rebalancing of your nervous system.

Fun fact: Your Vagus nerve is one of 12 cranial nerves that travels from the brain down through multiple organ systems in the body. 80% of nerve signals travel from the body TO the brain. So - it's the body informing the brain...not the other way around.

The BODY lets the brain know how to respond.

"You can't think your way to regulation. You have to change what your body is telling the brain."

๐ŸŽฏThis is why talk therapy doesnt always work. More words, more things to "figure out" isn't the way to heal for many people..but doing somatic work, like gentle yoga and breathing, WORKS. Because we create space for the body to heal, feel, and integrate.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Happy New Moon.๐ŸŒ™ It's another moment to begin again, take stock, get clear. This New Moon is in the sign of Ta**us, asking us to be clear about what we wish to build, work on and put energy into for the long term. This is a powerful time to plant seeds - literally and symbolically.

What are you willing to put work into?
What is it that you wish to have, be, experience or feel?....the big picture stuff.

Write it down. Get clear. Be intentional.
But above all else - summon your endurance. Keep going.

Fall in love with the journey. The resiliency of it all. The peaks, the valleys. Some of them suck. Some of them are so painful we'll wonder if we'll even make it through. And some are so exhilarating it will positively mystify you.
