Hi friends, how are you doing today? From my heart, I’m holding intentions of collective peace, healing, & unity for you and everyone.

As Krishnamurti poignantly shares: “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”

I couldn’t agree more. But living in a culture that so often dismisses, belittles, devalues, and oppresses women, children, and vulnerable equal members of society can be incredibly challenging to navigate.

So, how do we show up when dysfunctional systemic standards are widely accepted? When we don’t see enough models of what constitutes being truly healthy, and not just getting by? To move from survival to genuine thriving?

I’m not saying that this path is easy by any means. Yet, I do believe it’s both possible and steeped in priceless value.

Here are several tips that I’ve found to be extraordinarily helpful on my personal healing journey. Through sharing, I hope they may also give you support on your own journey to thrive:

✨ Create your own positive culture of health.
🦋 Avoid taking health guidance from anyone who hasn’t overcome the topic they’re trying to influence you on, and is not engaged in doing their own inner work.
🤲🏽 Surround yourself with people who truly see, celebrate, and value you.
🌹 Listen to and honor the holistically intertwined needs of your body, mind, and soul.
💖 Trust your soul’s inner voice above noisy crowds.
🌈 Believe in your infinite transformative healing potential. Take meaningful steps to manifest this vision into reality.
📚 Take time to educate yourself. Apply critical thinking while making healthcare choices. Learn to discern trustworthy, quality research from poor, unreliable research.
💫 Run from any paradigm that doesn’t let you fully, authentically express yourself, and teaches you to buy into fear, hatred, and victimization.
💐 Trust the power, life force, and efficacy of natural medicine abundantly given from the Earth. There’s more than plenty for everyone.
🍒 Be yourself. The world needs you and your gifts just exactly as you are.

I’d love to hear from you with any reflections. 🙏

Ayurveda & Yoga~ One of my deepest intentions in full-time holistic health practice is to demystify the myriad of modern health struggles women face. Two very powerful pathways that aid in this quest include Ayurveda and Yoga.

Perhaps you’ve also heard one of these excuses dismissing your valid health concerns that women seeking help have directly shared with me…

“Your headaches are just normal.” (to a 38-year-old woman who had sought answers for years)
“There’s nothing we can do for your menopause symptoms.” (to a 60-year-old post-menopausal woman experiencing debilitating hot flashes all day and all night)
“Low energy levels, chronic digestive imbalances are part of the aging process, we don’t have any options to help you.” (to a 79-year-old woman and COUNTLESS others as young as their 30s)
“I’m sorry, but there are no known alternative options for a person with a thyroid condition.” (to a 45-year-old woman asking for other natural integrative options)
“Your pain is all in your head.” (to a 41-year-old woman with chronic migraines for years)
“Your nausea, bloating, and abdominal pain is normal during menstruation.” (to a 19-year-old woman who came extremely close to taking collegiate medical leave)
“I’ve been struggling with a thyroid condition for 10 years, waking every day with low energy and feeling like a zombie. No one else has been able to help me—I was about to give up.” (to a 33-year-old woman with two young children at home)

And on and on.

Really?! Is this truly the whole story?

I’ve lived through chronic hormonal health horrors and sought 100% natural care with amazing success to the point of ALL being in sustainable, long-term remission today. Other women deserve the same opportunities and choices, even if no one has ever yet mentioned this could be a possibility.

For me, it was chronic fatigue, migraines, anemia, an IUD surgery that went horrifically awry, and an autoimmune condition, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. To say these health experiences were excruciatingly difficult and painful would be an understatement.

The pain had a positive side though: it set me on the path to healing. I studied holistic health and learned the most common health issues facing women: PMS, anxiety, infertility, depression, hot flashes, insomnia, arthritis, inflammation, digestive and thyroid issues actually stem from one thing—hormonal imbalance.

The Earth provides medicine. That’s not just a theory. There’s not just one path—but 20-30 options for someone with a women’s health concern, chronic hormonal imbalance, or autoimmune condition.

Are you seeking deeper options for your health? Do you feel unsettled about the dismissive responses you’ve received thus far about your very real health experiences? Does your future feel like it could be so much brighter and healthier?

Carolina and I are incredibly excited to be teaming up for a super special upcoming “Women’s Wellness Unfiltered: Live Q&A” event. We would love for you to join us! Bring a burning healthy question and cozy up for an hour of self-care to take a meaningful next step on your health and healing journey.

What Does Research Show About Environmental Pollutants Impacting Hormonal Health? 📚 Emerging research suggests that environmental contaminants—including pesticides, phthalates, bisphenol A (BPA), PFAS (“forever chemicals”), and certain heavy metals—can disrupt endocrine function and may negatively impact fertility in both women and men.

Large human studies have found that greater exposure to persistent environmental pollutants is associated with a longer time to pregnancy, while higher dietary intake of foods with elevated pesticide residues has been linked to lower pregnancy and live birth rates among women undergoing fertility treatment (Buck Louis et al., 2013; Chiu et al., 2018).

Buck Louis, G. M., Sundaram, R., Schisterman, E. F., Sweeney, A. M., Lynch, C. D., Gore-Langton, R. E., Maisog, J., Kim, S., Chen, Z., & Barr, D. B. (2013). Whole Plant Medicine Nurtures Vibrant Hormonal Health~ 🪷✨ A key missing ingredient for actualizing as well as maintaining hormonal balance 100% naturally that I often see in my Women’s Holistic Health Clinic is incorporating the regular support of herbal medicine.

The hormonal normalizer herbal action, for example, is an incredibly beneficial gift naturally occurring in highly renowned medicinal plants that I routinely carefully include in customized clinical herbal formulas created in the Four Seasons Harmony apothecary. This incredible whole plant action works to tonify levels of hormones in the body that may be either dangerously too high or too low, such as estrogen and progesterone, to support them to function properly at a balanced level. This is an extremely important part of my routine care for hormonal health at all ages, including during perimenopause and well beyond menopause.

Hormonal normalizers intriguingly also double for fertility-supporting herbs, which I often bring into formulas to support anyone planning for pregnancy so that you optimize your chance of optimal, healthy, and conscious conception. While it is rare that a hormonal normalizer herb such as the following classic examples with demonstrated safe, longstanding clinical use would be harmful or have any drug-herbal interactions, I check for any potential reactions very carefully during the intake process to ensure the utmost safety.

🌿 Key Hormonal Normalizers:
-Blessed Thistle, Cnicus benedictus
-Chaste Tree Berry, Vitex agnus-castus
-D**g Quai, Angelica sinensis
-Licorice, Glycyrrhiza glabra
-Peony, Paeonia lactiflora
-Sage, Salvia officinalis
-Wild Yam, Dioscorea villosa

To learn more about significant ways to support balancing your hormones and pathways to thrive, bring your very own burning question to a special upcoming live “Women’s Wellness Unfiltered” event with my fabulous colleague Carolina Gonzalez. Receive deep listening and unconditional holistic professional support in a compassionate space dedicated to serving women.

Reclaiming Aligned Feminine Expression~ 🤍✨ Memorable throwback to my first home living next to the super safe, delightful Rodriguez family in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

This memory naturally surfaced while blasting dance music, wearing a dress, and cleaning my home—a fun (and effective) practice for completing chores that began while living at this cherished adobe apartment. To this day, I keep up this house cleaning tradition.

While I was previously known as the “clean” roommate, living here ushered in a new level of home caring. I discovered how much I absolutely LOVED cleaning and cooking, without feeling strained or boxed into a narrow view of being a woman who loves working out in the world AND loves stewarding a home. I find purpose, balance, and meaning in both.

I truly believe in equality of all genders. But there seems to be much cultural stigma directly as well as indirectly implied that still unjustly boxes women into being EITHER family-oriented OR the working type. So why does this have to be “either or”...? Why not “both and”...?

I believe that women are infinitely capable of diverse types of purposeful expressions, and there’s room for ALL of us. I don’t believe the labels that a feminist (by definition one who believes in or advocates for equality of the sexes—not so bad when spoken directly about in truthful light) isn’t allowed to cook or be family-oriented. Because this is an extremely important part of who I am.

Dare I venture into implying the word “feminist” could still have positive meaning in public discourse, but, if you ask me, it comes across as suffocatingly repressive to put walls up before even considering to entertain polite, respectful talk about “feminism.” Rather, I pose the question: who does NOT publicly advocate for equality of the sexes? That would come across as, well…rather sexist.

Thank you to all of the women who have tirelessly worked to open very much welcomed doors before me, often never being able to see the fruits of your labor, and as a result breathing life into the wings of future generations to be able to have the choice of flying. I love, respect, and appreciate you so, so much.

~In light, love & peace
